The surging Los Angeles Sparks seek a fourth straight win and a perfect 4-0 road trip when they visit the Connecticut Sun.

The Sun are the dimmest WNBA squad right now, with just a single win on the season.

LA is scoring at will, even without WNBA leading scorer Kelsey Plum, who will miss a second straight game with an ankle injury.

Still, their defense is shaky, which is the main reason my Sparks vs. Sun predictions and WNBA picks are sticking with the total.

Sparks vs Sun prediction

Sparks vs Sun best bet: Over 167.5 points (-110)

The Los Angeles Sparks are dropping a WNBA-best 96.7 points during their 3-game win streak, fueled by unsustainably hot shooting numbers of 51.3% from the field and 43.2% from deep.

Even if they cool on that efficiency, their league-worst defense keeps the Over alive, as they allow 94.7 points per game, and at least 87 points in every game this season.

The Connecticut Sun are last in scoring (74.7), but this is a matchup where their offense should outperform expectations.

LA's Over record is 6-1-0 this season, and this is the second-lowest line all year. I'd play it as high as 170.5.

Covers COVERS INTEL: The Connecticut Sun defense boasts the worst +/- (- 14.2), while the LA Sparks rank 11th at 3.5 +/-.

Sparks vs Sun same-game parlay

Despite all the scoring I'm expecting, I'm targeting a few Unders on Saturday.

The first is Erica Wheeler's points prop. Prior to her season-best 21 against Washington, her highest point total was 10 – and that's the best scoring number she's had in her last five against the Sun.

Dearica Hamby went into playmaker mode last game too, doling out a season-best nine assists, but that's a major outlier. Hamby has had more than four assists in a game this year and hasn't touched five assists in the last 10 vs Connecticut.

Sparks vs Sun SGP
