The Toronto Raptors are off to an encouraging start in the weakened Eastern Conference, and tonight’s clash with the Cleveland Cavaliers will be a helpful measuring stick game for Darko Rajakovic’s squad.
Though Cleveland rested Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley in last night’s win in Miami, this is still a quick turnaround for the hosts, and my Raptors vs. Cavaliers predictions expect Toronto to rise to the moment.

Raptors vs Cavaliers prediction
Raptors vs Cavaliers best bet: Raptors +7.5 (-115)
The Toronto Raptors have found a rhythm over the last two weeks, putting together a 5-1 run that began with a win vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers. Tonight’s visit to Rocket Arena will be a sterner test, but I’m picking Toronto’s balanced offense to cover the spread at this inflated number.
With four starters averaging 15+ PPG, the Raptors are pushing aside concerns about an equal-opportunity offense, and they saw off the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday thanks to a combined 49 points from Brandon Ingram and Immanuel Quickley.
The Cavaliers have a higher ceiling, but they’re just 4-8 ATS this season and will be without both Darius Garland and Lonzo Ball in this matchup. That opens the door further for a Toronto team that’s 5-1 ATS in its last six contests.
Cleveland has also had some shaky moments defensively, allowing 117.6 PPG (19th in the NBA). The hosts are lighter on wing depth this year, and the Raptors should be able to find favorable matchups with the options that Ingram, Scottie Barnes, and R.J. Barrett provide.
The Cavs have only covered the spread in one of their five home outings through the early stages of this season, and I expect the visitors to push them to the wire in this one.
Raptors vs Cavaliers same-game parlay
Barnes is the key to Toronto’s defensive game plan, and his work on the glass will be critical against Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen. He can be feast-or-famine at times, but he’s grabbed 10+ boards in four of his past six contests, including an 11-rebound effort in Brooklyn this week.
I’m also jumping on the Over for Donovan Mitchell 3-pointers. He’s got the green light to let it fly, especially with Garland out, and he’s making his triples at a 40% clip so far this year. Spida has nailed 4+ 3-pointers in five of his last six games.
Raptors vs Cavaliers SGP
- Raptors +7.5
- Scottie Barnes Over 7.5 rebounds
- Donovan Mitchell Over 3.5 3-pointers
Our "from downtown" SGP: Ingram stays inside the arc
Compared to Mitchell, Ingram isn’t nearly as inclined to get his buckets from beyond the arc. He leads Toronto in scoring despite leaning into a steady diet of mid-range looks, and he’s only knocked down 2+ 3-pointers once in his last six outings.
Raptors vs Cavaliers SGP
- Raptors +7.5
- Scottie Barnes Over 7.5 rebounds
- Donovan Mitchell Over 3.5 3-pointers
- Brandon Ingram Under 1.5 3-pointers
Raptors vs Cavaliers odds
- Spread: Raptors +7.5 (-115) | Cavaliers +7.5 (-105)
- Moneyline: Raptors +225 | Cavaliers -285
- Over/Under: Over 240.5 (-110) | Under 240.5 (-110)
