Knicks vs Timberwolves Prediction, Picks & Odds for Tonight’s NBA Game

With Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby among the missing Knicks, more responsibility will fall on Josh Hart's shoulders, and he will respond admirably against the Timberwolves.

The shorthanded New York Knicks will look for a win when they travel to Target Center tonight to face the Minnesota Timberwolves.

With floor general Jalen Brunson and do-it-all forward OG Anunoby out of action, my Knicks vs Timberwolves predictions call for a stat-stuffing performance from Josh Hart.

Here are my best free NBA picks for this cross-conference showdown on Tuesday, December 23.

Knicks vs Timberwolves prediction

Knicks vs Timberwolves best bet: Josh Hart Over 29.5 points + rebounds + assists (-115)

Josh Hart has averaged 29.8 points + rebounds + assists across 34.7 minutes in 12 games since joining the New York Knicks' starting lineup.

In that span, he reached 31 PRA five times and provided exactly 30 PRA two more times. This line has fluctuated between 29.5 and 30.5, and I’m good betting it up to 31.5 if needed.

With Jalen Brunson, Miles McBride, and OG Anunoby out of action, expect Hart to play a key role as a scorer, rebounder, and facilitator as he’s done all season.

Hart is averaging 12.2 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 5.0 assists across 30 minutes on the season, and he’s one of the team’s leading rebounders and playmakers.

In two games with Brunson sidelined on November 14 and 17, Hart posted PRA totals of 28 and 33, handing out nine and 10 assists. I expect him to stuff the stat sheet and comfortably clear this modest combo line against the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight.

Knicks vs Timberwolves same-game parlay

Although the Wolves haven't been particularly effective covering the spread at home, Minnesota is nearly at full strength, while New York is missing two starters and multiple key reserve options. The Knicks may in the first half or even into the fourth quarter, but Minnesota should pull away late and cover at home.

The Knicks have hit the Over in four of their last five, but without Brunson, McBride, Anunoby, Guerschon Yabusele, and Landry Shamet, points will be much more difficult to rack up.
