Knicks vs Pacers Picks, Prediction & Odds for Tonight's NBA Playoffs Game 4

Logan's prediction: Josh Hart was moved to a bench role in Game 3, but regardless of where he starts Game 4, he'll rack up the points and rebounds.

New York Knicks shooting guard Josh Hart is a key factor in tonight’s Game 4 against the Indiana Pacers, and he plays a huge role in my Knicks vs. Pacers predictions.

Hart’s versatility shines on both ends of the floor, consistently filling the stat sheet with points, rebounds, and assists. But his biggest impact came when Coach Thibs made a strategic move in Game 3—benching Hart to go big with center Mitchell Robinson.

Despite coming off the bench, Hart still logged 34 crucial minutes, finishing with eight points, 10 rebounds, and four assists, helping fuel New York’s thrilling comeback victory.

Whether he’s in the starting five or coming off the pine, my NBA picks for Tuesday, May 27 expect him to be a difference-maker once again.

Who will win Knicks vs Pacers Game 4?

The New York Knicks returned the favor to the Indiana Pacers by handing them their own “choke job” in Game 3, rallying from a 20-point hole to tighten the Eastern Conference finals at 2-1.

Oddsmakers opened the Pacers as slight home chalk with an implied win probability of 58% for Game 4. Not that those odds matter, as we’ve seen wild scoring swings and miraculous comebacks in the ECF.

I’ll give the nod to New York to even the series and make this a best-of-three set.

Knicks vs Pacers prediction

My best bet: Josh Hart Over 7.5points/7+ rebounds (+130 at bet365)

Josh Hart’s scoring prop plummeted in Game 3, closing at 8.5 O/U. He made good on those prop adjustments, sitting just short of the total at eight points on 1-for-3 shooting Sunday.

That’s a serious slide compared to his points totals to start the Eastern Conference finals — 13.5 and 12.5 — as well as his previous postseason scoring bars.

The move is warranted, given Hart’s offensive output. He’s scored eight, six and eight in the opening three games while shooting a collective 6-for-12 from the field (1 of 5 from deep).

Before this matchup with Indiana, Hart was a key cog in the Knicks’ scoring attack. He averaged 14.5 points against the Boston Celtics in Round 2 and finished Round 1’s series with the Detroit Pistons with 11.8 points per contest.

His scoring prop for Game 4 sits at a postseason low of 7.5 Over/Under (Over -130), but despite the decline in production against Indiana, Game 4 models still call for double digits from Hart. Early projections range from 10.8 to 11.7 points, with Hart expected to log around 35 minutes.

Those same forecasts also predict eight or more rebounds from him in Game 4. He snatched 10 boards in Game 3 and has pulled in six and 13 rebounds in the two games prior, while averaging 17.0 rebounding chances in the series — second most among all NBA players in the conference finals.

His combo prop of points + rebounds is at 16.5 (Over -115) but I feel we can ask for a similar stat line and get +130 in return with a same game parlay of Hart Over 7.5 points and 7+ rebounds in Game 4 Tuesday.

Knicks vs Pacers same-game parlay

Josh Hart 10+ points

Josh Hart 7+ rebounds

New York Knicks moneyline

Player projections call for 10+ points from Hart, who hasn’t gone for double digits in the series after scoring 10 or more in 10 of his first dozen playoff games.

Models like eight or more rebounds for Hart, who is very active on the glass in this series. His advanced metrics show 17.0 rebounding chances per game.

Anything is possible in this ECF, and the Knicks will send this series back to MSG with a win as road pups in Game 4.
