Even though Burnley are already relegated going forward, they still attack. That won't result in a win, but it will help boost the final score against Arsenal.

Arsenal are expected to cruise past already-relegated Burnley as they continue their push for the Premier League title.

There is a 58-point gap between the two sides heading into their clash at the Emirates. Arsenal will be looking to make a statement victory ahead of their crucial trip to South London to face Crystal Palace next weekend, on the last day of the campaign.

My Arsenal vs. Burnley predictions and free betting picks for Monday, May 18, are opting for goals rather than the moneyline.

Premier League predictions for Arsenal vs Burnley

My Arsenal vs Burnley best bet: Over 3.5 (-118 at Sports Interaction)

Despite their situation, Burnley don’t hold back when facing open, attacking teams, with four of their last six Premier League matches featuring at least four goals.

Burnley last won on February 11. Since then, they have played 11 matches and scored in seven, while conceding at least twice in 15 of their last 20 matches

Relegation hasn’t stopped them from playing attacking football, either, and I’m expecting the same against Arsenal.

The Gunners will try to control the tempo and put Burnley under pressure from minute one, to score as quickly — and as often — as possible.

Arsenal vs Burnley same-game parlay (SGP)

Over 3.5

Viktor Gyokeres anytime goal

Arsenal Over 7.5 corners

Most cards: Burnley

Nine of Viktor Gyokeres’ 14 Premier League goals this season have come in home matches. There should be plenty of action in the Burnley box, so Gyökeres should be able to get on the scoresheet.

Arsenal have scored more goals from corners than any other Premier League team this season. They are a real threat from set pieces and always look to make the most of the chances they are given. It is also worth noting that they average just over six corners per home match. Since much of the action is expected to take place around the Burnley box, a high number of corners is likely.

Arsenal have the lowest average number of cards in the Premier League, at 1.36 per game, while Burnley average 1.64. Given that Burnley are expected to put in a big defensive effort to contain a superior side, that could easily result in more physical challenges and, consequently, bookings.
