The Phoenix Suns have won and covered in three of their last four games and now host the struggling Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday. The Clippers beat up on the Suns when these teams met in Los Angeles earlier in the year, so Monty Williams’ group will be out for revenge here.

Will Phoenix end up blowing Los Angeles out at the Footprint Center? You’ll want to keep reading our Clippers vs. Suns NBA picks and predictions to find out.

Clippers vs Suns picks and predictions

Our predictions are compiled from the analysis of the spread and total and are indications of where we are leaning for this game.
Our best bet is the play that we like the most for this game, which we would actually put some of our bankroll behind.

The Clippers might be well-rested coming into this meeting with the Suns, but Los Angeles is in a bad place right now. With George out, the team is really lacking the talent it needs to play its desired brand of basketball. The Clippers come into this one after having lost by 18 at home against the Minnesota Timberwolves, and they have now lost seven of their last 10 games.

On the other hand, the Suns are playing some great basketball again. Even with a number of injuries in the frontcourt, Phoenix has won and covered in three of its last four contests. The last two wins for the Suns were blowout road victories over the Charlotte Hornets and New Orleans Pelicans. Now, the Suns should be able to get a similar result against the Clippers in Phoenix.

Without George, Phoenix has a significant advantage all throughout the rotation. The Clippers don’t have anybody that can counter the explosiveness of Devin Booker and Chris Paul, and Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson will also be the two best wings on the floor. The only question mark for the Suns is at the center spot, but Bismack Biyombo has actually given Phoenix some great minutes there, and considering the Clippers won’t have Zubac, that isn’t an area of concern for the Suns. This game really shouldn’t be close.

Prediction: Suns -10.5 (-103)

Over the last 11 games, the Suns have the top offensive rating in basketball. Their 115.8 mark isn’t far off from the Jazz’s league-leading 117.0, so this Phoenix group is firing on all cylinders on the offensive end.

Now, the Suns face a Clippers team that is without its two best wing defenders — who just so happen to be two of the best in basketball — and is also down a couple of other key rotation pieces. Phoenix should put up a big number in this game, and Los Angeles won’t have to score all that much to make this an easy win for Over bettors.

The Over is 6-3-1 in Phoenix’s last 10 games and it’s 4-1 in Los Angeles’ last five. The Over is also 30-16 when the Suns are coming off a win by 10 or more points and 26-15 when Phoenix is coming off a road win over the last two seasons.

Prediction: Over 220 (-110)

The Suns are 11-0 against the spread when avenging a straight up loss in which they were favored since the start of last season. The Clippers beat up on the Suns when they met in Los Angeles in the middle of December, and Phoenix isn’t going to forget about that game. The Suns take things personally and will be out to embarrass this shorthanded Clippers group tonight.

The Suns also happen to be 14-7-1 against the spread when coming off a road win by 10 or more points under head coach Monty Williams. Meanwhile, the Clippers are 5-13 against the spread when playing on two days of rest since Ty Lue became the team’s head coach. That extra time to prepare hasn’t paid off for Los Angeles.

Pick: Suns -10.5 (-103)
