Shohei Ohtani has busted out of his mini slump in a big way, and he'll get the best of Max Scherzer tonight.

Shohei Ohtani has driven in six runs over his last five games after a slow start to the playoffs.

His success should continue in Game 3 against Max Scherzer, who was susceptible to giving up damage vs. left-handed bats this season. Here are my favorite MLB picks surrounding Shohei Ohtani's odds.

Shohei Ohtani prop pick

Shohei Ohtani best bet: Over 0.5 RBI (+105 at BetMGM)

Shohei Ohtani’s power has been on full display of late, as he's stacked up 21 total bases over the past five games — driving in six runners along the way.

When Ohtani gets hot, he’s as productive as anybody in baseball, and it sure seems he’s heating up at the right time.

Shohei is likely to cause Max Scherzer a world of problems in Game 3. While Scherzer is an experienced pitcher who lives for marquee matchups, he’s not nearly as effective as he once was.

His decline this season was especially apparent against left-handed bats like Ohtani. He allowed a .288 ISO and 2.5 homers per nine innings vs. lefties while striking them out at a much lesser rate.

Ohtani profiles very well against Scherzer’s pitch mix as well. He managed a .282 ISO or higher against each of Mad Max's five pitches during the regular season.

The Dodgers' slugger has knocked in seven runs over six home playoff games thus far, and I like his chances of building on that in this one.

Shohei Ohtani same-game parlay

Over 0.5 RBI

Over 0.5 runs

Dodgers -1.5

Ohtani has averaged — yes, averaged — 4.2 total bases over his last five. He’s hammering the baseball when he gets pitches to hit, and he's happy to take walks when he doesn’t.

Whether Ohtani drives himself home or gets on and one of the stars behind him finishes the job, he's likely to score in Game 3.

The Dodgers have a healthy pitching advantage with Tyler Glasnow taking the bump. He's allowed just one total run over his last four starts, which came against the Brewers, Phillies (x2), and Mariners.

If Ohtani & Co. provide him with run support, L.A. will win convincingly.
