The red-hot Boston Red Sox will be looking to keep it rolling tonight against the New York Mets.

With the dominant Sonny Gray on the hill, my Red Sox vs. Mets predictions are targeting Boston to win a seventh straight game.

Read more in my MLB picks for Friday, July 10.

Who will win Red Sox vs Mets today: Red Sox moneyline (+119)

Sonny Gray takes the mound for the Boston Red Sox in excellent form. The right-hander owns a 10-1 record and has posted a 3.02 FIP across his last five appearances.

Gray has also allowed just 0.68 HR/9 over his previous two starts while surrendering one earned run or fewer in three straight outings.

Nolan McLean has been sharp as well, posting a 2.11 FIP and 23.5% hard-hit rate across his last two starts. However, he now faces a Boston lineup carrying a 120 wRC+ over its last six games with a 10.1% barrel rate.

Both starters are pitching well, but Boston’s recent offensive form gives Gray the stronger supporting cast.

I'll play this pick up to -110.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Gray is striking out 10.8 hitters per nine innings over his last two outings, compared to 8.23 K/9 overall this season.

Red Sox vs Mets Over/Under pick: Under 7.5 (-107)

With both starters pitching well, there’s a strong case for a lower-scoring game.

New York’s offense has been productive lately, but Gray’s recent form and Boston’s dominant bullpen could cool that momentum. The Red Sox relief corps owns a 2.13 FIP over the last week while allowing just 0.44 HR/9.

The Mets bullpen has struggled, but McLean’s ability to cover innings should limit its exposure. I expect pitching to dictate this matchup.

I’ll play this pick up to -130.

Conditions at Citi Field should be warm and humid tonight, with temperatures around 82 degrees at first pitch before falling into the upper 70s. Winds will be light at roughly 5-7 mph, while rain chances decrease from 41% early to around 29% later. A brief delay is possible, but weather should have minimal impact overall.
