First WNBA seasons are tough enough without an injury crisis, but that’s the scenario staring at the Toronto Tempo as they host the Dallas Wings today.

With backcourt absences hitting hard, Toronto is on a troubling three-game slide, and my Wings vs. Tempo predictions signal one-way traffic for an in-form Dallas squad that enters as a -270 favorite.

Wings vs Tempo prediction

Wings vs Tempo best bet: Wings -6.5 (-110)

In a WNBA season that feels wide open, why not the Dallas Wings? They’re 5-2 SU in their last seven outings, and they breezed past the Toronto Tempo on their visit to Coca-Cola Coliseum last weekend.

Toronto’s playmaking is a red flag without Brittney Sykes and Kiki Rice, and the hosts could also be missing the interior presence of Nyara Sabally and Temi Fagbenle (both questionable).

With Paige Bueckers on a tear, averaging 23.2 PPG across her last six games, I’m laying the points with Dallas — and I’d still wager on the Wings if the line creeps north of -7.

Covers COVERS INTEL: The Tempo are 2-7 SU in their past nine contests and 1-5 ATS in their last six home games.

Wings vs Tempo same-game parlay

The Wings raced past the Tempo last Sunday, and I’m expecting the visitors to pad their win total this afternoon in what feels like a shootout. The Over is 7-3 in Toronto’s last 10 games, and the hosts are giving up 91.3 PPG, tied for second-most in the league.

That’s music to the ears of a Dallas squad which has scored 86+ points in each of its three contests this month, and Jessica Shepard’s breakout year continues.

Shepard is shooting 59% from the field and finished with 22 points in a triple-double against the New York Liberty on Tuesday.
