My Red Sox vs Brewers best bet: Brewers moneyline (-155 at DraftKings)

The clear pitching advantage in this contest goes to the Milwaukee Brewers. Staff ace Freddy Peralta, a right-hander, takes the mound and is a strong candidate to back.

Since transitioning to a starting role in 2021, Peralta has produced a 42-31 record with a 3.40 ERA and 1.10 WHIP. That success has continued into 2025.

Through 11 starts this season, the right-hander owns a 5-3 record with a 2.55 ERA and 1.12 WHIP. His underlying metrics suggest that this level of performance is sustainable.

Peralta ranks in the top third of the league in expected batting average (xBA), average exit velocity, strikeout rate, and hard-hit rate.

Brayan Bello gets the ball for the Boston Red Sox. He has struggled to find consistency since making his MLB debut in 2022, posting a 4.39 ERA and 1.44 WHIP across four seasons.

His analytics are particularly poor this year. Entering this matchup, Bello ranks in the 10th percentile or lower in expected ERA (xERA), xBA, chase rate, and walk rate.

Brewers moneyline

Christian Yelich 1+ hits

Jackson Chourio 1+ hits

If Milwaukee is going to win this game, it will need production at the plate. Two of the best candidates to deliver are Christian Yelich and Jackson Chourio.

Yelich played the hero in last night’s game, hitting a walk-off grand slam in extra innings. He is also 2-for-5 in his career against Bello.

Meanwhile, Chourio has recorded 10 hits over his past eight games and owns a .303 batting average in that stretch.
