It’s the rubber match of a three-game set Sunday when the Tampa Bay Rays visit the New York Yankees.

After a pair of low-scoring affairs, my Rays vs Yankees predictions see this pitching matchup serving up more runs. Find out why in my MLB picks for May 4.

Rays vs Yankees prediction

My Rays vs Yankees best bet: Over 9 (+100 at Caesars)

The Tampa Bay Rays hope for a quality start from 24-year-old Taj Bradley, who’s 2-2 with a 4.58 ERA. He’s coming off a season-high seven innings of work, scattering five hits and two earned runs, but took the loss in a 3-1 Royals win.

The New York Yankees haven’t been all that great of late either, as they’ve alternated between wins and losses in six straight and are just 6-7 over their last 13 games.

Their formula for success relies on a powerful offense that puts up 5.35 runs per game, the second-best mark in the bigs.

They'll hand the ball over to Will Warren, who’s 1-1 on the year with a bloated 5.63 ERA. Warren is coming off one of his worst starts of the year against the Orioles, lasting only 3 1/3 innings while giving up six hits and four earned runs.

The Under has hit in three straight games between these teams, but the pitching matchup is begging for an Over wager.

New York has already roughed up Bradley this season, lighting him up for a season-worst nine hits and six earned runs. And, with Warren’s recent struggles, the space is there for Tampa bats to do some damage on getaway day.

Caesars QuickPick: Our Rays vs Yankees same-game parlay (SGP)

Over 9

Aaron Judge Over 1.5 total bases

Paul Goldschmidt Over 1.5 total bases

Aaron Judge has been smoking lately, with hits in 13 straight games.

He belted his 11th home run of the year in the 3-2 loss yesterday, but he’s been racking up the total bases. During his hit streak, Judge has collected at least two total bases 11 times, including five straight games with at least two hits.

He’s hitting an absurd .448 at home with 26 hits, 14 of them for extra bases. Literally, one swing of his bat can win this leg of the SGP.

Paul Goldschmidt has been on a tear himself. While he failed to get a hit Saturday, he’s hit safely in 22 of his past 27 games. Of those, he's picked up at least two total bases 15 times, including once in this series with Tampa.
