The MLB is back and in full swing this weekend following the All-Star Game, with 15 games on deck today.

American League All-Star Aaron Judge leads off my picks with a hits, runs, and RBIs prop before I dish out a couple more plays on Shota Imanaga and Manny Machado.

Without further ado, here are my best MLB player props for Saturday, July 19.

Best MLB player props today

  • Yankees Aaron Judge Over 2.5 hits, runs, and RBIs (+115)
  • Cubs Shota Imanaga Under 17.5 outs recorded (+105)
  • Padres Manny Machado Over 2.5 hits, runs, and RBIs (+100)

Our 3 best MLB player props for Saturday, July 19

Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.

Aaron Judge Over 2.5 hits, runs, and RBIs (+115 at BetMGM)

Aaron Judge went 0-for-2 at the All-Star Game on Tuesday but got right back to work for the New York Yankees last night as he picked up a hit in their series opener against the Atlanta Braves.

Judge is a five-star projection to hit Over 1.5 hits, runs, and RBIs tonight, and I’m backing the seven-time All-Star to have a big day at Truist Park.

According to THE BAT X projection system, Truist Park has the third-highest elevation in the MLB at 981 feet above sea level. Couple that with an expected temperature of 88 degrees at game time, and we should see balls flying out of the park this evening.

The Yankees slugger has hit this prop in nine of his last 13 contests and should have the upper hand against Braves starter Joey Wentz. The left-handed reliever is making an emergency start for Atlanta tonight and carries a massive 6.32 ERA and 1.70 WHIP.

Judge carries an .853 slugging percentage against southpaws and has hit 11 of his 35 home runs vs. lefties (31%), despite just 23% of his at-bats coming against them.

Shota Imanaga Under 17.5 outs recorded (+105 at bet365)

Shota Imanaga missed nearly two months with a hamstring strain and finally returned to the lineup in late June. The Chicago Cubs starter has looked solid on the mound since then, but I’m not confident in his ability to pitch deep into ballgames.

Imanaga arguably had his best start of the season last weekend when he allowed just two hits and one earned run over seven innings against the Yankees. The southpaw threw 91 pitches in that game – the first time he’s hit the 90-pitch mark since April 22 and just the fourth time he’s done so in 12 starts.

But low pitch counts are a common theme for the Japanese star. He averaged just 89 pitches per game last season and is hovering around 85 this year. Going hand in hand with that low pitch count, Imanaga has also recorded Under 17.5 outs in eight of his 12 appearances this season.

The Boston Red Sox are averaging 4.97 runs per game – the fifth-best mark in the majors – and won 10 straight to finish off the first half. Expect Boston’s batters to give the Cubs starter some problems and get him out of the game before the end of the sixth.

Manny Machado Over 2.5 hits, runs, and RBIs (+100 at Caesars)

Manny Machado has been a one-man show for the San Diego Padres this month, driving in 13 of his team’s 44 RBI in the last 13 games.

The third baseman did it again on Friday as he hit a grand slam in the ninth inning to power the Padres to a 7-2 victory against the Washington Nationals.

Machado has recorded at least one RBI in four of his last five games and notched Over 2.5 hits, runs, and RBIs in four of those contests as well.

Tonight’s matchup against Nationals starter Mitchell Parker should be a favorable one for Machado. The right-hitting Machado is batting .299 vs. lefties with a .335 BABIP, compared to a .270/.247 split vs. righties.

Parker has given up a whopping 16 runs (11 earned) and 18 hits over his last two starts while carrying a 5.12 ERA and a 1.42 WHIP this season.

Don’t be surprised if Machado and the Padres put up some big numbers tonight.
