When diving into MLB player props there are often inflated lines for superstars, but sometimes you can find betting value. That's the case for two-time AL MVP Shohei Ohtani today, as he faces a vulnerable Rangers pitching staff.
Ohtani headlines my MLB picks for today, and I'm on two other plays with my best free MLB prop predictions for Tuesday, June 11.

- Kevin Pillar Over 1.5 total bases (+110 at DraftKings)
- Bryan Woo Under 1.5 earned runs (-130 at DraftKings)

Best MLB bets today
Prop bet #1: Kevin's heaven
After the White Sox released veteran outfielder Kevin Pillar at the end of April, the Los Angeles Angels swooped in and signed him, which has been one of the smartest moves of the year. Pillar has been red-hot with the Halos, slashing .381/.422/.667 through 25 games.
Today, Pillar and the Angels face an Arizona Diamondbacks side with Jordan Montgomery on the hill. Montgomery has been one of the worst pitchers in the majors this year, posting a 6.80 ERA with a 1.73 WHIP and an OBA of .323 through nine starts. His ERA has surged to 8.46 at home and the southpaw has also struggled against right-handed hitters, allowing them to slug .566.
Pillar has the platoon advantage in this matchup and is slugging .766 against southpaws this year. Arizona's relievers have also looked awful, ranking 27th in the majors in OBA (.257) and WHIP (1.41). Whether it's against Montgomery or the D-Backs' shaky bullpen, Pillar should be able to eclipse 1.5 total bases today.
Kevin Pillar prop: Over 1.5 total bases (+110 at DraftKings)
Prop bet #2: Woo wipes floor with White Sox
Bryan Woo is having a breakout sophomore season in Seattle. One of the Seattle Mariners' top prospects entering last season, Woo is now three years removed from Tommy John surgery and is rounding out his arsenal. He has a 1.07 ERA through six starts while his xERA (1.80) and xBA (.188) bode well for his success moving forward.
Today, Woo gets to pitch at home at pitcher-friendly T-Mobile Park and he takes on the league's worst offense. The Chicago White Sox are last in the majors in runs per game (3.09), OPS (.624), and wOBA (.278). With Woo allowing fewer than 1.5 earned runs in five of six starts this year, take the Under 1.5 on his earned runs tonight.
Bryan Woo prop: Under 1.5 earned runs (-130 at DraftKings)
Prop bet #3: Sho' goes on
Shohei Ohtani is in a mini-slump this month but he's still fourth in the majors in total bases (147) and sixth in slugging percentage (.570). The two-time AL MVP is in the second percentile in hard-hit rate, exit velocity, and barrel rate, leading to an expected slugging percentage of .626.
Expect Ohtani to get back on track tonight against the Texas Rangers and starter Dane Dunning. Dunning has a 4.09 ERA through 10 starts and his expected ERA is even worse at 5.27. Dunning ranks in the fifth percentile in hard-hit rate, exit velocity, and barrel rate, and he's especially bad against lefties like Ohtani.
Ohtani thrives with the platoon advantage, slugging .650 against righties with the Los Angeles Dodgers this year and .701 against them with the Angels last season.
Shohei Ohtani prop: Over 1.5 total bases (-115 at bet365)
