My Pirates vs Royals best bet: Oneil Cruz Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI (+100 at Caesars)
Oneil Cruz has not performed up to par over the last couple of months, but there’s reason to believe he’s righting the ship.
Cruz has registered 14 hits + runs + RBI over his last eight games and 10 hard-hit balls during that span. He’s making more consistent, harder contact. That should lead to better results.
While Noah Cameron is a promising young pitcher, he’s looked more hittable of late. He has a 4.74 ERA over the last month, one of the highest among the day’s projected starting pitchers.
Cameron has also had a tougher time against left-handed batters. He’s allowed a higher average, posted a higher FIP, and his hard-hit rate has soared from 24% vs. righties to more than 40% against lefties.
For his faults, Cruz does possess real power. Even against a lefty, this looks like a good spot for him to do damage at the dish.
