Pirates vs Orioles best bet: Pirates first five innings moneyline (+100)
With the Pittsburgh Pirates desperate to avoid a series sweep, I like the value in the visitors leading after five frames.
The Pirates and the Baltimore Orioles are below .500 F5 moneyline teams, but the early edge tilts toward Pittsburgh, and the even money in this matchup favors the Pirates.
While Pirates starter Johan Oviedo has allowed only six earned runs across his last 20 innings since returning from Tommy John surgery, Orioles lefty Cade Povich has been far shakier, giving up 18 earned runs in his previous 32 frames.
Povich handles lefties, but the Pirates’ right-handed core of Andrew McCutchen, Bryan Reynolds, and Tommy Pham match up well against southpaws, and Cutch is one of the hottest hitters in baseball.
Baltimore’s lineup has also struggled with strikeouts against right-handed pitching (23.5%), giving Oviedo and his nearly 11 punchouts per nine a solid path to keep control through five.
Pirates vs Orioles same-game parlay (SGP)
The Pirates striking early is the best bet on the board, and I’ll pair it with the Over 8.5 total runs, as we have two bottom-five bullpens.
Baltimore may start slowly, but the O's are 8-2 straight-up across their last 10, and Pittsburgh is mired in a five-game losing streak thanks to an even shakier relief corps.
