Phillies vs Brewers prediction
Phillies vs Brewers best bet: Over 9 (+100)
Both the Philadelphia Phillies and Milwaukee Brewers rank in the Top 10 in runs scored per game, hits per game, on-base percentage, and OPS.
That offensive success is likely to continue, given the pitching matchup between Aaron Nola and Jose Quintana.
Through 12 starts, Nola is 3-7 with a 6.47 ERA and 1.50 WHIP. His underlying metrics are equally poor, as he ranks in the bottom third of the league in expected ERA (xERA), expected batting average (xBA), and hard-hit rate.
Speaking of poor analytics, Quintana's been even worse. This season, he ranks in the 12th percentile or lower in xERA, xBA, and strikeout rate.
Quintana is in poor form of late, having surrendered six runs in his previous start against the Arizona Diamondbacks. There were 10 total runs scored in that outing, and another high-scoring affair is likely today.
Phillies vs Brewers same-game parlay (SGP)
There may not be two better candidates to cross the plate than Bryce Harper and William Contreras. The latter boasts a .444 slugging percentage through 28 plate appearances against Nola.
Meanwhile, Harper has scored 10 runs over his past 15 games, posting a .567 slugging percentage over that stretch.
