The Los Angeles Dodgers are coming off a rare home loss and are looking to get back on track against the Washington Nationals before hitting the road.

My Nationals vs. Dodgers predictions and MLB picks are expecting a high-scoring getaway game on Sunday, June 22.

Nationals vs Dodgers prediction

My Nationals vs Dodgers best bet: Over 9.5 (-105 at Caesars)

The Washington Nationals and Los Angeles Dodgers have split the first two games of their three-game set, with both games featuring double-digit runs.

Michael Soroka is taking the mound for the Nationals on Sunday. He holds a 5.06 ERA and 1.12 WHIP in nine starts, allowing at least three runs in seven of those outings.

While he hasn’t allowed more than four runs in a game, he’s been victimized by the long ball with 12 homers allowed in his nine starts, including two in each of the last two contests.

You can count on Soroka to go about five or six innings while allowing a small handful of runs, and the Nationals bullpen isn’t exactly great behind him. In fact, Washington’s 5.67 ERA out of the pen is the worst in the NL, and only the Athletics (6.01) have a worse bullpen ERA this season.

On the other side, it’ll be Shohei Ohtani making his second start of the season, but once again, he’s only expected to go an inning or two. He allowed one run in an inning last time out, and the Dodgers bullpen is in the middle of the pack with a 4.18 ERA.

Caesars QuickPick: Our Nationals vs Dodgers same-game parlay (SGP)

Over 9.5

Nationals +1.5

CJ Abrams 2+ total bases

The Nationals have played the Dodgers tough through two games and have won two of their last three overall. We could see a back-and-forth affair in a bullpen battle later in the contest.

CJ Abrams has homered in two straight games and is now 14-for-40 in his last 10 contests. He’s heating up in June and is seeing the ball well right now.
