The Seattle Mariners and Minnesota Twins wrap up a four-game set this afternoon at Target Field.
A couple of bad starts this season have ruined Emerson Hancock’s ERA, but my Mariners vs. Twins predictions will explain why I’m eyeing him to have a quality outing in the rubber match.
Mariners vs Twins prediction
My Mariners vs Twins best bet: Emerson Hancock Under 2.5 earned runs (-105 at DraftKings)
⚾ Pick Analysis
This Seattle Mariners rotation has been a mixed bag this year. Hancock hasn’t helped much, pitching to a 5.43 ERA in 13 starts. He’s also collected a 3-3 record. However, despite the poor statistics, it’s really been a few poor outings that have hurt Hancock’s ERA.
The righty surrendered nine earned runs last time out against the Cubs. He also allowed six earned runs and seven earned runs on two different occasions throughout the campaign. That being said, before last week’s terrible start, Hancock cashed the Under in earned runs given up in four consecutive appearances.
During that span, he tossed seven scoreless against the Guardians and also allowed just one earned run to the Orioles earlier this month. The 26-year-old has shown the ability to be consistent, and after how he pitched over the weekend, he’ll be primed to respond.
Hancock has barely faced the Minnesota Twins before, with just seven at-bats throughout their lineup. However, Minnesota isn’t exactly thriving offensively, scoring only nine runs in three games so far. Hancock will keep the Twins at bay in the finale.
Mariners vs Twins same-game parlay (SGP)
Emerson Hancock Under 2.5 earned runs
Julio Rodriguez 1+ singles
Simeon Woods Richardson Under 4.5 strikeouts
🚀 SGP Analysis
Julio Rodriguez isn’t putting up massive numbers for Seattle this season, but he’s still productive. The superstar is hitting .252 with 11 home runs and 41 RBI. Only 25 of his 81 hits have been for extra bases, so we’ll focus on singles.
J-Rod has smacked at least one single in four of his last five appearances. He was 1-for-3 on Wednesday with a single against the Twins. Rodriguez is batting .278 in June with 18 singles out of his 25 hits. He’ll keep it rolling this afternoon.
The Twins send Simeon Woods Richardson to the mound in the rubber match and he’s struggled this year with a 5.06 ERA. He’s struck out 46 hitters in 53 1/3 innings of work and the Under in punchouts screams value.
Woods Richardson has cashed the Under in strikeouts in six straight starts. In fact, he’s only gone Over his Ks on five occasions in 2025. The righty has four strikeouts in 15 at-bats against the Mariners. Seattle is 10th in strikeouts, but Woods Richardson isn’t missing a lot of bats lately.
