The Seattle Mariners and Chicago Cubs clash at Wrigley Field for the rubber match of a three-game set this afternoon.
Cal Raleigh already has three home runs in the series and should be poised for another productive day against Cubs starter Colin Rea, who’s struggled to keep the ball in the ballpark of late.

Mariners vs Cubs prediction
My Mariners vs Cubs best bet: Cal Raleigh Over 2.5 total bases (-105 at Caesars)
Ian Happ hit two home runs and helped the Chicago Cubs score nine runs in the first three innings on Saturday to help Chicago pick up a 10-7 win. The Cubs hit five home runs in the ballgame compared to just one for the Seattle Mariners, which came off the bat of Cal Raleigh.
After failing to hit a homer in seven straight games earlier this month, Raleigh has already gone yard three times in two games against the Cubs and has four dingers over his last four contests. The Mariners catcher is up to 30 home runs on the year — just four shy of his career high he set last season.
While you can get Raleigh at +115 to hit a home run, you’re getting similar odds for him to go Over 2.5 total bases. The switch hitter has 3+ total bases in three of his last four games and an incredible 22 total bases over that span. His 179 total bases this season also rank third in the MLB behind the two guys you’d expect — Aaron Judge (207) and Shohei Ohtani (184).
Cubs starter Colin Rea has run into some trouble over his last few appearances, giving up 4+ earned runs in three of his last five outings while posting a 4.10 ERA over that stretch. He’s also allowed at least one home run in seven of his previous nine games.
Left-handed batters have done very well against the right-handed Rea this year, batting .307 with a .500 slugging percentage and a .336 BAbip, so the switch-hitting Raleigh should be able to do some damage this afternoon.
Caesars QuickPick: Our Mariners vs Cubs same-game parlay (SGP)
Both of these clubs have plenty of firepower as the Cubs (5.35) and Mariners (4.41) rank second and 12th, respectively, in runs per game. Chicago has hit Over 10.5 in three straight games, with each of the first two meetings in this series featuring 13+ runs.
I’m taking the Mariners on the moneyline mostly on the back of Logan Gilbert, who’s been outstanding despite his 1-2 record. The right-hander boasts a minuscule 2.55 ERA to go along with a 0.79 WHIP and has held his opponents to two earned runs or fewer in six of his seven starts this season.
Gilbert had 10 punchouts against the Red Sox on Monday in just five innings and has recorded 7+ strikeouts in all but one start this year.
