We’ve got a full 15-game MLB slate and plenty of capable sluggers to choose from in today’s home run picks.

My MLB player props for Sunday, April 19, feature none other than Shohei Ohtani, plus Willy Adames and Gunnar Henderson.

Shohei Ohtani (+186)

It’s never a bad day to add Shohei Ohtani to your MLB picks, but I really like his chances today against Colorado Rockies starter Michael Lorenzen.

The right-hander is carrying a massive 8.10 ERA over five starts while allowing four dingers this season. The Rockies bullpen has also been susceptible to the long ball, allowing 11 homers — tied for ninth most in the majors.

Ohtani has homered in two of his last six games, with all five of his home runs this season coming in his last 13 contests.

Coors Field is the most home run-friendly park in the majors, and the Los Angeles Dodgers slugger will put another ball in the bleachers today.

Willy Adames (+420)

The San Francisco Giants are not a great home run-hitting team this year, ranking second last in the MLB with just 13 dingers.

However, Willy Adames has accounted for three of those home runs, including two in his last eight games, and I believe he’ll go long vs. a bad Washington Nationals pitching staff.

Nats starter Miles Mikolas has given up six homers in four appearances — one shy of the most by any pitcher this season — while carrying a bloated 11.49 ERA.

Mikolas will be backed up by a weak pen that’s been hammered for 22 dingers – tied for the most in the majors.

Gunnar Henderson (+490)

Gunnar Henderson hit just 17 homers last season and is nearly at half that total already with seven dingers in 21 games.

The Baltimore Orioles shortstop went long on Saturday and has six home runs in his last 15 contests.

Cleveland Guardians starter Joey Cantillo has been solid with a 2.61 ERA over four outings, but he did allow two dingers in his last start on Tuesday.

The Guardians bullpen has also allowed 13 homers — the fifth most of any team.
