My Guardians vs Tigers best bet: Tigers moneyline (-130 at bet365)
Casey Mize is expected to return to the hill for the Detroit Tigers after a stint on the IL. Luckily, it was a mild hamstring injury, and he threw a five-inning simulated game on Monday.
Mize is 6-1 with a 2.53 ERA and a 1.01 WHIP through seven starts. He's in the Top 15th percentile in expected ERA (2.67) and expected batting average (.208) and is starting to play up to his vast potential.
The Cleveland Guardians respond with Luis L. Ortiz, who has a 4.66 ERA with an xERA of 5.11 through nine starts. Ortiz is in the Bottom 10th percentile in barrel rate, average exit velocity, and hard-hit rate.
