Two NL West rivals begin a three-game series tonight as the Los Angeles Dodgers head to Oracle Park to face the San Francisco Giants.

It’s a pitcher’s delight in the opener with World Series hero Yoshinobu Yamamoto dueling with early-season breakout Landen Roupp.

See why I’m playing the underdog with my Dodgers vs. Giants predictions and MLB picks for Tuesday, April 21.

Who will win Dodgers vs Giants today: Giants (+155)

This is a favorable spot for the San Francisco Giants, who had an off day on Monday and face a Los Angeles Dodgers team that just played four games at Coors Field and now has some environment shock in pitcher-friendly Oracle Park. Talk about a venue change.

Landen Roupp has been superb with a 2.57 xERA and 2.21 FIP, and most of his underlying metrics are actually better than Yoshinobu Yamamoto’s.

The lineup is due for significant positive regression as the likes of Rafael Devers (.581 OPS), Jung Hoo Lee (.658), and Heliot Ramos (.686) will likely rebound after slow starts.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Landen Roupp has a clean 18.9% K-BB% and limits hard contact (90th percentile barrel rate, 93rd percentile hard-hit rate). He’s had success against the Dodgers in the past, holding their projected lineup to 5-for-23 (.217 AVG) with eight strikeouts.

Dodgers vs Giants Over/Under pick: Under 7.5 (-125)

With temperatures in the mid-50s, it should be a pitcher-friendly environment. Yamamoto and Roupp have been two of the better starting pitchers in the league and should thrive.

There are two quality bullpens behind them as well — L.A. ranks seventh in SIERA in relief (3.45) while San Francisco (3.55) isn’t far behind at ninth and has all of its top options well-rested and at the ready.

Dave Roberts’ squad has been on a low-scoring stretch, going 3-5 O/U in its last eight, and is missing impact bats like Mookie Betts and Tommy Edman.
