The Milwaukee Brewers host the Chicago Cubs in NL Central action tonight.

Chicago destroyed Milwaukee 10-0 on Friday, and my Cubs vs. Brewers predictions expect them to mash again at American Family Field.

Here are my best free MLB picks for Saturday, May 3.

Cubs vs Brewers prediction

My Cubs vs Brewers best bet: Cubs team total Over 4.5 (+105 at DraftKings)

I bet the team total Over 4.5 for the Chicago Cubs yesterday, and it cashed in the second inning. The Cubs have now eclipsed their team total in 19 of their last 28, and I like them to cash that prop again today.

Chicago led the majors in scoring (6.12 runs per game) while ranking second in OPS (.804). That OPS that ticks up to .825 on the road, which bodes well for their success at American Family Field in this series.

On the surface, this seems like a tough matchup against Milwaukee Brewers starter Jose Quintana, who has a 1.14 ERA through four starts. However, the 36-year-old had a 3.75 ERA last season, and his Statcast analytics indicate major regression on the horizon.

Quintana has an expected ERA of 4.44, and he sits in the bottom 20 percentile in expected batting average (.284), average exit velocity, and hard-hit rate. The Cubs have also been elite against southpaws like Quintana, boasting a league-best batting average (.287) and OPS (.869).

Meanwhile, Milwaukee's bullpen has struggled due to a plethora of injuries. Their relievers currently rank 28th in the majors in ERA (5.14) and 23rd in WHIP (1.40).

Cubs vs Brewers same-game parlay (SGP)

Cubs team total Over 4.5

Christian Yelich 1+ hits

Jake Bauers Under 0.5 walks

Veteran right-hander Jameson Taillon will toe the rubber for Chicago today. Taillon is in the bottom 25 percentile in expected batting average (.274).

Two-time NL batting champion Christian Yelich has struggled, but considering his resume and his .315 BA last year, expect him to turn things around. He has the platoon advantage against Taillon and has gone 10-for-30 in his career against him.

While Taillon gives up a lot of contact, he displays good control. He's in the top 15 percentile in walk rate (5.1%), and the weak-hitting Jake Bauers has been given a free pass just seven times in 21 games.
