The Milwaukee Brewers are in a prime position for another victory tonight against the St. Louis Cardinals with Kyle Harrison on the hill.

Having already dominated St. Louis this season, my Brewers vs. Cardinals predictions are targeting the left-hander to lead Milwaukee to a win.

Read more in my MLB picks for Wednesday, July 8.

Who will win Brewers vs Cardinals today: Brewers moneyline (-137)

Kyle Harrison has given up more runs lately, but the metrics remain encouraging. The Milwaukee Brewers left-hander owns a 1.38 xERA and 2.47 FIP across his last two outings, with a 3.58 road FIP this season.

Harrison also blanked the St. Louis Cardinals across six innings earlier this year, giving up just four hits.

Michael McGreevy owns a 4.51 FIP over his last four outings and allowed five earned runs to Milwaukee in May. He's also allowed a 40% hard-hit rate over his last two starts.

Harrison should give the Brewers the pitching edge.

I’ll play this pick up to -150.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Opponents are hitting just .222 against Harrison’s four-seamer, which he throws over 60% of the time, and several Cardinals hitters have a negative run value against the pitch.

Brewers vs Cardinals Over/Under pick: Under 8.5 runs (-121)

The Brewers' bullpen has been fantastic lately, posting a 3.09 FIP over the last week. They should be able to hold things down when Harrison exits, and the Cardinals have just 95 wRC+ over their last eight games, which is below the league average.

While I do not expect McGreevy to be lights out, there's optimism that St. Louis can also limit the damage when he departs.

The Cardinals pen has a 3.44 FIP over their last 37 innings while allowing just 0.24 HR/9. The Brew Crew haven't shown much power lately, posting a .152 ISO in the last seven days.

This should be a relatively low-scoring contest.

I'll play this pick up to -140.

Brewers vs Cardinals weather

Conditions will be warm and mostly dry at Busch Stadium tonight, with temperatures near 89 degrees at first pitch before dropping into the low 80s later. Winds stay light at roughly 3 to 6 mph, while rain chances fall throughout the evening, so weather should have minimal impact on the game.
