My Brewers vs Braves best bet: Brewers moneyline (-145 at Caesars)

No team is hitting the ball better than the Milwaukee Brewers. Over their past three games, the Crew have scored a whopping 38 runs on 56 hits.

Milwaukee now ranks in the Top 4 in the league in runs per game, hits per game, batting average, and stolen bases. On the other hand, the Atlanta Braves rank in the bottom half of the league in each of those four categories.

The clear hitting advantage goes to the Brewers, but they also boast the pitching edge. The Braves hand the ball to right-hander Erick Fedde, who has struggled mightily this season.

Through 21 starts, the former first-round draft pick is 3-11 with a 5.33 ERA and 1.50 WHIP. His underlying metrics are even worse, as Fedde owns a 5.79 expected ERA (xERA) and ranks in the bottom quarter of the league in expected batting average (xBA), average exit velocity, walk rate and hard-hit rate.

Meanwhile, another former first-rounder, Quinn Priester, takes the mound for Milwaukee. He outranks Fedde in every category listed above and carries a 10-2 record into this matchup.

William Contreras to hit a home run

Christian Yelich 1+ hits

If the Brewers are to win, their hitters need to produce. William Contreras has hit three home runs over the past four games and has previously homered against Fedde.

Meanwhile, Christian Yelich posted a .538 batting average, .769 slugging percentage, and 1.436 OPS over the weekend. He also boasts a .500 average through 18 plate appearances against Fedde.
