Ernie Clement keeps hustling, and his contact makes him our go-to bet on an otherwise quiet offense.

The Toronto Blue Jays are searching for any offense after a 10-1 loss on Monday, but Ernie Clement should keep grinding out hits at the top of the order against the San Francisco Giants and starter Trevor McDonald.

With Toronto’s bats still cold, I’m leaning on one of the few hitters who continues to produce.

Read on for my Blue Jays vs. Giants predictions and MLB picks for this Tuesday, July 7 matchup.

Blue Jays vs Giants predictions

Blue Jays vs Giants best bet: Ernie Clement Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI (-115)

Ernie Clement has been one of the Toronto Blue Jays' lone bright spots, and as the team's best version of "Charlie Hustle" right now, I expect him to cause some chaos at the top of the order.

Clement was one of just three Blue Jays with a hit on Monday, and he's a good foil for San Francisco Giants starter Trevor McDonald and his sharp sinker-slider mix. Clement is batting .333 and slugging .455 against that offering this year, and his contact-oriented approach gives him plenty of ways to cash this prop.

Playable to -110.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Clement leads Toronto with a .293 average over his last 12 games, and he should get even more chances to impact the game if he’s back in the leadoff spot tonight.

Blue Jays vs Giants same-game parlay (SGP)

Clement eclipsing 0.5 hits leans on the same contact profile as my best bet. Meanwhile, Kazuma Okamoto leads the Jays with six RBI over the last 10 games.

I'll cap it with Over 8 total runs. The Giants have been swinging hot bats at home, boasting 15 homers in their last 10 games, and I like the number to clear this evening.

Blue Jays vs Giants SGP

  • Ernie Clement o0.5 hits
  • Kazuma Okamoto o0.5 RBI

Blue Jays vs Giants home run pick: Kazuma Okamoto (+475)

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Okamoto went deep late in Monday’s loss, and he’s our best shot to cash another home run prop on Tuesday.

The Japanese rookie owns a .444 slugging mark and three homers over his last 12 games. No other Toronto hitter is slugging better than .356 in that span, and I would play this Okamoto home run prop to +400.
