Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is heating up again. That means my Blue Jays predictions are betting on his bat until he cools off again.

The Toronto Blue Jays slugger is having himself a June and is coming off another dinger in last night’s game against the Cleveland Guardians.

My MLB picks for Thursday, June 26 break down why backing Vladdy is a smart play as Toronto goes for yet another series win.

Blue Jays predictions for June 26

Today’s Blue Jays best bet: Big bad Vlad

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over 1.0 hits (-115 at BetVictor)

There aren’t many players in baseball better than a red-hot Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

Despite falling in extra innings to the Cleveland Guardians last night, the Toronto Blue Jays' star slugger did his part. Vladdy went deep for the 11th time this season and for the second time in four games.

He is now hitting .316 with a .970 OPS, three home runs, and more walks (eight) than strikeouts (seven) over his last 15 games. But this hot streak shouldn’t surprise anyone who’s followed Vladdy closely this season.

The Jays’ first baseman ranks in the 100th percentile in expected batting average and the 94th in expected slugging for the season, and I like him to stay hot in this afternoon’s matchup with Guardians’ starter Tanner Bibee.

The 26-year-old right-hander has been solid for the Guardians this season, but has hit a bit of a rough patch. Bibee has pitched to a 4.40 ERA over his last five starts. He also doesn’t have a ton of swing-and-miss in his game, which plays into Guerrero’s natural power.

And as is the case for a lot of guys, Vladdy has been a thorn in the side of Bibee when they have met in the past. Guerrero is 4-for-8 with a home run in his career vs. Bibee. That’s good for a .391 xBA and a .839 xSLG.

Vladdy Over 0.5 home runs at +475 is worth a look this afternoon, and so is Over 1.5 total bases if you can find it at plus money. But for my best bet today, I'm going Over 1.0 hits. He has a solid matchup and has seven multi-hit games during this 15-game stretch.

Today’s Blue Jays same-game parlay (SGP)

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over 1.5 total bases

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over 0.5 RBI

Kevin Gausman Over 4.5 strikeouts

This really feels like an RBI-double kind of day for Vladimir Guerrero Jr. He’s topped 1.5 total bases 10 times in the last 15 games and driven in at least one run in eight of those games.

Meanwhile, Blue Jays starter Kevin Gausman is still searching for some consistency. Luckily, he should be able to find it against the Guardians.

Not only do they rank 25th in batting average and OPS vs. right-handed pitching, but Gausman shut them out over six innings on May 3, allowing just one hit and striking out nine.

Round this same-game parlay out with Gusman to go Over his strikeout total of 4.5, something he’s done in six of his last seven starts.
