The tide has turned against the Philadelphia Eagles heading into Week 4.

Key Takeaways
  • The majority of money and tickets are on the Rams as road favorites against the Eagles.
  • The Bills and Lions continue to be popular among bettors.
  • The Colts and Commanders are seeing a betting split in the first early Sunday morning game of the year.

When the 2026 NFL season began, only two teams had shorter odds than the Eagles to win the NFC at BetMGM. Philadelphia was also a popular bet during the first three weeks, getting the majority of the tickets and money against the Commanders, Titans, and Bears.

However, after a 27-7 loss at Chicago in Week 3 on Monday night, which followed a last-second stand in the opener and a last-second touchdown in Week 2, the betting public is finally backing off a team that is 0-3 against the spread.

The Eagles enter Sunday’s showdown as 3.5-point underdogs at home, and BetMGM has seen 71% of the money and 61% of the wagers on the Los Angeles Rams, who have the fourth-most handle and fifth-most tickets in Week 4 so far.

"We’ve taken a lot of Rams money for their matchup vs. the Eagles,” Joey Feazel, Caesars Sportsbook, head of football said. "I expect that to continue, with money coming in on the Over, as well.”

DraftKings reported an even higher 89% handle on the Rams on Friday, with less than 35% of the wagers backing the Eagles.

Moneyline bettors aren’t even taking a shot on the underdog with odds above +150 to win outright. Just 5% of the handle at BetMGM is backing the Eagles, while DraftKings has seen 16% of the money on a Philly victory.

Backing the Bills again

Bettors are taking the opposite approach with Super Bowl favorite Buffalo. The Bills, 7-point favorites at home against division rival New England, are the most-bet team by tickets and handle in the most-wagered game of the week at BetMGM.

The home favorite is getting 71% of the bets and 84% of the handle at DraftKings. That’s not much of a surprise as the Bills are 3-0 on the moneyline and against the spread, while the defending AFC champion Patriots are falling out of favor with bettors amid a 1-2 start to the season.

However, there is some love for New England on the moneyline. With odds of +270, the Pats are BetMGM’s third most-bet underdog of the week, behind the Titans (+475 at Baltimore) and Dolphins (+475 at Minnesota).

Popular teams

None of BetMGM’s top five most-bet teams to cover the spread by tickets or handle are underdogs. After the Bills, the Bears (-3.5 vs. Jets) are the second-most popular play, followed by the 49ers (-2.5 vs. Denver).

The Lions continue to be heavily bet, ranking fourth in popularity in the week's fourth-most-bet game at BetMGM.

Even as a 3.5-point favorite on Sunday night at Carolina, Detroit is getting 76% of the money at BetMGM and over 60% of the bets at DraftKings. Over 51 is the most-bet total so far this week at BetMGM.

The Bengals (-2.5) are getting the fifth-most money at BetMGM and 70% of the bets against the Jaguars.

Titans-Ravens is the third-most bet game, with Baltimore (-11.5) getting a slight majority of tickets and handle for Sunday. The Ravens are over 60% in both categories at DraftKings.

The Raiders are also taking significant action at Caesars as 4.5-point underdogs against the Chiefs.

“We will need the Chiefs to win and cover vs. the Raiders on Sunday afternoon, Feazel said. “We are seeing some buy-in on the Raiders, who are a liability for the book.”

Rise and shine

The NFL season’s first early Sunday morning game is currently the second most bet at BetMGM for Week 4. The Colts are -3.5 at DraftKings and -4 at BetMGM against the Commanders in London.

Washington leads in bets at DraftKings and BetMGM, while more money at both shops is sitting with the Colts, who opened at -110 on the moneyline but have skyrocketed to -200. Over 70% of both the tickets and handle are on Indianapolis to win outright in the neutral-site game.

More bets have come in on under 48.5 at DraftKings, while the over is dominating with 74% of the handle. The over is the second most-bet total at BetMGM.

Aside from Commanders-Colts, the only other BetMGM games where the bets and handle are split between the two sides are Chargers-Seahawks and Cowboys-Texans.

“In the battle of Texas teams, the Cowboys and Texans, I expect more two-way action as we approach game time, but we have seen some action on the Cowboys,” Caesars' Feazel said.

Wishing on Waller

Panthers tight end Darren Waller (+270) is BetMGM’s most popular player to score an anytime touchdown this week, ahead of Jaxon Smith-Njigba (-105). The Seahawks' star receiver has scored in each of the first three weeks and has six touchdowns on the season.

Tyler Warren (+160), Josh Allen (-145), and Amon-Ra St. Brown (-110) round out the operator’s top five in the anytime touchdown market. Waller (+2,200) is the most-bet first touchdown scorer as well.

Texans tight end Dalton Schultz under 42.5 receiving yards (-140) leads BetMGM’s popular player prop markets, followed by Waller over 2.5 receptions at -155. Ja’Marr Chase over 79.5 receiving yards, Christian McCaffrey over 39.5 receiving yards, and Josh Downs over 64.5 receiving yards are also taking significant action.
