4mins in-game , valkeries are 0-8 LMAO
Uncovering the post-Lynx Jinx (but it's not really a jinx)
WOW, the Valykries just STOLE the 1st quarter money with a steal and layup at the buzzer.
What a turnaround after it took them over four minutes to get on the board. They were down 8-0.

A 9-0 run has pushed the Valykries out to a 31-25 lead with three minutes left. I need that 1st half parlay to make up for what I already threw away on the Tigers +129. Fat and sweaty Framber Valdez was on 6 days rest, but tonight that didn’t matter. He managed to pitch six ineffective innings without striking out any batters.

westlake888, you’re the one who called this more emphatically than I did. The Valykries were interrupting passing lanes all night, winning the turnover battle 18-9 including an eye-opening 12-2 edge in steals. Hard to believe they pulled away so easily. I guess the Lynx were overdue to SUCK.

That is a bold call, but if the L.A. Sparks can go into the Target Center and emerge victorious as 16-point underdogs, then it CAN be done. That will be a huge game for the Valykries. Not so much for the Lynx who've already proven their point vs. that team. Would anyone who's been betting on sports for a considerable length of time be shocked if the Lynx returned to Minneapolis from an asskicking 4-0 road trip and promptly laid an egg?

I misspelled "Valkyries" 16 times in this thread and no one corrected me. We should ALL hang our heads low.
In post #24 I accidentally spelled their name correctly.

Since June 19th, teams favored in their next game after playing the Lynx are 1-6 and 0-7 ATS, failing to cover by an average of 11.6 points per game. Yikes. Also in these 7 games, these favored teams went 1-6 SU and 0-7 ATS in the 1st halves.
That is incorrect. Teams were actually 1-6 and 1-6 ATS in the 1st halves as of a few days ago. On August 2nd the Fever lost to the Lynx. Four days later the Fever lost at home in overtime to the Aces, but they did have a 42-37 lead at halftime.
Now that record stands at 1-8 and 1-8 ATS after the Valkyries lost the 1st half in Chicago on Friday night 38-26 and the Mystics lost the 1st half in Portland on Sunday night 49-47.
Teams that just played the Lynx and are now favored on the road are a big fat 0-5 SU & ATS in the 1st half, failing to cover by an average of 10 points. That is a huge margin for 1st halves. Tomorrow is our LAST......CHANCE to capitalize on the post-Lynx Jinx when the Valkyries travel to quiet Uncasville, Connecticut to face the nameless, faceless Sun.

Well, their Logo/image looks a bit satanic (of the: "Valkyries"), unless that is an abstract image of the Golden-Gate Bridge.. (',

Very good point. I know they thought they were being very clever thinking that the nickname "Valkyries" would project the ferocity of mythological female warriors, and I'm sure that the NBA team they share their home arena with being named the Warriors had something to do with the name selection, but the name is no good. Hardly anyone knows what a valkyrie is, and if you tripped me up on the spelling, you've really chosen a terrible team nickname.

This will be the first time this season the Sun are playing on consecutive nights. Aaliyah Edwards returned to the Sun lineup last night after missing 8 of their last 10 games. She played great, scoring a career high 26 points on 11-16 shooting to go along with 10 rebounds. Will she play again tonight? It's an important question because the team has been getting destroyed without her, going 1-7 and 2-6 ATS in those eight recent games she missed.
The Valkyries visited the Sun on July 10th and won easily 79-64. The Sun had just played the Lynx and fell victim to the post-Lynx Jinx. The Valkyries were favored by only 5.5 points in that game. Is it concerning that the oddsmakers installed the Valkyries this time as 13.5-point favorites?
Um.....yeah.
Is it further concerning that the line has actually risen in some sportsbooks to -14 this morning? Again, yeah. Why is this line -14 when the Valkyries have a much more challenging opponent scheduled for tomorrow night in Brooklyn?

Early this morning I parlayed the Sun +13.5 -110 with the Cubs +1.5 -210, and I don’t feel good about that knowing that slimy Caesars sportsbook is now offering the Sun +14 -106.
