Preface:

Welcome one and all to the live writing of this book on the net at covers................. Let me start by saying that is a large undertaking and will have many up's and down's. My purpose of this book is to help degenerate gamblers win money.  I hope that my many years of experience will help other's in their quest to beat the casino.  I have worked in the casinos since 1984 as a casino pit dealer, pit boss, shift manager, poker dealer, poker room manager.  I deal all forms of 21, craps, roulette, some carnival games, live action poker ie.. texas hold'em, omaha 8 or better, 7 card stud   I have bet sports for most of my adult life and have made the daily walk to the book almost everyday for the last 30 years.  I hope I bring some wisdom and new knowledge to help you make better decisions down the road.

Chapter 1

Let start off by saying that having a solid base is fundemental in trying to learn.  The Sheet might be the most impotant thing you will learn about.  What is the sheet you might ask.  The sheet is that piece of paper with all the lines, numbers, stats, for that day's action that the casino gives you for free. Every sport bettor in Vegas gets a sheet everyday in their favorite casino.  Hopefully the sheet you get is the day's opener, by that I mean what the book's set the opening number's for the games that day.  The most important thing you need to know about the sheet is that it is there to make the casino money.  End of story.  The sheet is not about which team is a good team and which team is a bad team. We all know which teams are basically good and bad in a given year.  Yes a team can have a horrible record and look bad and we know over time they we be at the bottom.  The problem is bad teams win games and good teams lose games everyday.  The sheet is the most infuential info that we as gamblers take for granted as the book's use our perceptions of games and situations  against us with deception in their lines so they make money...............Taking a break for thought..............

Chapter 1 Con't......................

The casino needs sales meaning bringing money through the window with the intention of keeping it.  The sheet offers the casino a way to market bets through the gamblers perception.  The easiest way to draw sales is making something look attractive and easy through what I call true mis-information.  The line, info, stats, and perceptions all look good and true going in but the problem is in the end we are dealing with individual human behavior within a team sport and what I thought I saw to give myself an edge was on paper and not being played on the field.   In baseball eveything about the sheet is directed at the pitcher for the most part.  The book knows how much value bettors place on pitcher's and make the sheet to fit the line right next to the pitcher. I find it amusing that the line on the game is next to the pitcher which gives the precption that the pitcher is only thing that matters in a baseball game.  The books want you to place more value on pitcher's than you should. Pitchers on the sheets are used for sales and marketing to make bettors feel comfortable with their wagers.  Pitchers are important in a game but in a differant kind of a way from a betting perspective which I will explain later.........done for the day....... will continue tommorow and write over time and see what happens.... 

 Halo's         -1.5 Runs      +110 for very little.... just a theory hunch.............here is why real quick......on the sheet the opener -147 for a road team with the run line payout of +105...........then I saw right above it a home team cards with opener of -145 and the run line payout at +140 really........book is giving you nothing for the road win by 2 runs and a lot for the home win by 2 runs for the same -145 and the line has moved square both ways....................... ok i'll bite and take the road team with the shitty pay-out...................
