ATL - Tommy Hanson on the mound vs Doug Davis is a huge advantage. MIL rocked Hanson in his MLB debut last year but he came back later and held them to 2 earned in 7 innings. His first 5 starts this year he gave up 2 R or less (his last outing @ WAS he gave up 4 in 6 IP). Meanwhile Davis has gone 6 innings just once this year and teams are hitting .363 off of him (lefties even batting .348). Braves have some pretty crappy numbers against lefties (.214, 4 HR) but since 2008 lefties have actually hit Davis a little better average-wise than righties. Chipper should be back in the lineup, but rookie Jason Heyward will probably sit another game.
TB - Garza vs Pineiro is an advantage, even though they both have terrible numbers vs each other. Garza is coming into his own this year though and is clearly the better pitcher (gave up more than 2 R just once this year & teams batting just .208 against him) over Pineiro (.322 BAA). I think TB will bounce back after the perfect game. Angels toward the bottom of the league in runs scored and could be without Torii Hunter who sat yesterday & may sit one more game with a stiff knee. He was supposed to DH yesterday but sat & the team has said Monday/Tuesday for his return. Got your classic case of poor offense & poor pitcher vs great offense & great pitcher here.
