if you look carefully you might even find yellow... what's wrong with you - among 20+tipsters always will be days with red  - but how conveniently you forget that this is a marathon - not a "please like me mr hienkhoi" contest. and if you tailed me , turbo and kingmidas you're way over in a winning column.

the 1h call in denver 1 missed free throw at the end, they did not get off to the quick start as I had planned but they did show that when they start running you are not going to catch them.

The full game came to plan when the nuggets woke up, they must have been out partying last night because they were flat I mean like cement shoes flat. At the half you could say I tripled down on the bet because despite the poor game from the nuggets the spurs were not out pacing them.

At the start this started to look like the Heat Bulls game where the refs were calling all the fouls one way anticipating calls and not calling hard contact under the basket against the nuggets.

I think this is what told the nuggets f-u-c this its turbo time and they spooled up and whooooooshh!

Keep up the good work people but please write out after the games are done win or lose it makes you better.

If not by 1 bucket per pick I would have been 3-0 but that is how I do when I lose its mostly by 1-2 buckets

BTW am not even going to wait until tomorrow the bets are in ...

    NY Knicks -4

    OKC Thunder -4

Simple rolling with two teams tuning for the playoffs Knicks need to show bulls that if they meet in the playoffs they are in deep shyt. Knick playing like they started the season maybe they will finish the same ... STRONG

OKC now with this Spurs loss looking for sole possession of 1st and take this one on the road. I also expect both games to go over. At least that is what my teaser says.

    OKC Thunder -4

Over 190.5 CHI Bulls - NY Knicks

added team totals, while bulls are known for their defense if I lose the knicks spread will be because they forgot how to shoot and they are innocent until proven guilty so I am taking the over as well. While it has been way over done to the upside on how many points the knicks are putting up I think they have more left in the tank still.

    Eryximaque 47-39-1

    NY Knicks -4.5

Onfire team. Anthony is scoring very well, and should be easy Vs Bulls with so many injuries and two last lost Vs Détroit/Toronto.
    Motivation has been decrease.
Knicks have a réally good bench, and Martin out doesnt matter
Trends are in favor to Knicks

Put 20+tipsters togetger, and some will win and some will lose, if only the one would knew at the begining which one will win.

So have 10 games a day, u can choose sides...if u only knew which one is the right one ;)

So choosing winning tipster is pretty much the same as choosing winning bets.

Overall all together, we r still down - thats the fact!

    OKC Thunder -4

    NY Knicks -4.5

only thing i have to say about these games is turbovtk! been PMing with him and between that and his post explaining why these are good bets, i'm rolling with them. really feel thunder anyways as they see #1 seed and matchup with lakers who they kill on the horizon, and i believe they will seize it.

While those are facts I believe the main point of the thread or contest is for one to better one self and others in the process not as much by record but by discipline and creating and sharing ideas, which is why i think people get too happy when they win and to down when they lose. Pre game reasoning should be done but more important I think is the post game reasoning where you try to see if you were right and abnormal things happen or if you were completely of base.

I don't think people should come here looking for daily picks or to tail someone, I am sure they do come here and lurk and tail and fade etc. But I think of it as a study group or a gym buddy, it is much harder (in general) to do either of those by yourself. Motivation and gaining confidence in your capping abilities come from hard work and methods/systems and understanding that things won't be perfect and make adjustments as you go until you feel confident that you are not just gambling by making wild picks but that you have some sort of method- this does not mean it will work but if you are here in covers I think you are trying to get better- sure there is a lot of BS floating around in Covers in every thread. It is up to the reader to extract the knowledge and wisdom from certain things they read and apply it to their hobby/job- some of us do this as a hobby others as a job others prob. have not decided if this if for them. But in the end the idea is to make money and to do that you have to learn what best works for you. My systems as some of you know is parlays with single bet and live bet main selections and hedges and the 2H totals system- currently working on adding spread to that as well.

Hope this helped more than confuse-

What you gentlemen are overlooking is the fact that this thread has produced such handicappers as yourself Turbovtk, as well as KingMidasTouch and of course the ever elusive Mister Phixer. If a good academic institution produces a one person who graduates and becomes a President of a big corporation or a famous actor or a Noble Prize winner - and that happens one in generation - the name of the institution is remembered forever. This thread has produced 3 greatest cappers of NBA Cover's community has seen since the great days of MK here and you don't think that is incredible?
SportsMavin is a phenomenon and a genius to bring so many good people and cappers under one roof and implement the discipline and money management tactics and strategies that proved to be winning ones and we still all are getting better.

I am new to NBA I think phixer and kingmidas are much better at this. I am learning along with all the others here, first real year capping NBA- my record along with the aforementioned were off to a much more solid start than current records indicate.

I will add that Phixer, King and myself have lost quite a few games recently but I think I have only been blown out about 2-3 times every other loss has been by a bucket, just yesterday- one last meaningless 3 gets the over on nets game- and one missed FT takes away a 2 pt spread at the half at Denver. It seems like wins are more solid than the loses and I think this has a lot to do with the values this thread has taught all of us. Of course our records are just what we are able to track here and does not include hedges or real amounts of the bets- except phixer who went from like a couple of grand to over 30k lol that is awesome

That being said some of us do make more plays than what you see listed here some go good some go bad but having a few days where you go 10-2 or 11-2 makes you feel good about what you have learned. We have about a week left before the playoffs then I think some of us will be resting until september is it here ...

I can't believe my luck with the NBA this season. People say you get breaks both ways. Man, I wish I was anywhere close. Had the ORL under pinned down and needed MIL ML to win my parlay bet. Didn't trust MIL to cover ATS back to back.

At first, MIL loses Jennings and Sanders. Then did you guys see that last 26 seconds of the game? MIL is up by 5 with 27 seconds and has the ball. Somehow, they get a 5 second violation out of bounce. Allow ORL on two possessions, while Ellis made 1 out 2 on both trips from the FT line to let ORL to be within 3 with 7 secs to go. ORL takes a long 3, makes it and the guy gets fouled. Ok, crazy things happen, i was fine losing it on MIL ML, then the guy misses the FT to win the game and it goes into OT to kill my Under.

That along with cleveland killed a small $1 parlay I had to win $600 8 of 10 not bad because I also bet them to win $1 each but still frustrating that is what I mean by losing by a bucket.

    OKC Thunder  -4

Like both favorites tonight, but I like this one specifically for the reason that the Warriors need 2 uncommon things to happen for them to have a chance.

    1. They need to play totally out of character and attempt to D up the Thunder.  Even for some of the best "defensive" teams, it has been a struggle to shut down the Thunder, i.e. Spurs.
    2. The Warriors are going to need to have a high shooting percentage including Curry putting up 40 plus points.  Don't get me wrong, the Warriors can shoot, but the Thunder also have good long athletes that can defend.

I'll ride with the Thunder tonight expecting that both of these things are unlikely to happen.

Took both games last night. Taking two better teams, playing good basketball. GS got blown out twice and won a close one against the Thunder. I expect OKC to be motivated to lock #1 position in the West. Knicks are just so hot right now, I am jumping on the bandwagon.

Don't see any reason why they should be slowing down, they'll want to keep the momentum they've got going on into the Playoffs.
