Portland is charging for the playoffs while Brooklyn is comfortably in 4th in the east. Blazers play well at home at 22-11 SU scoring 100.9pts and 45.7%fg and also vs the east going 10-4 SU and winning by an avg 6pts. Nets Johnson and Wallace are ailing and on the 'circus' trip, I can see them resting here and mailing it in. The Trail Blazers are 8-3 ATS in the last 11 head-to-head meetings with the Nets here in Portland, and they are 18-6-2 ATS in their last 26 games vs. teams with winning SU records.

I personally think the Grizzlies are pretenders and I am not sure how a team with only 1 offensive weapon competes in the playoffs.  I think clinched playoff teams that rolled until now will shut it down (unless they are chasing a streak a la Heat), and teams that hobbled in to the end will play harder to gain momentum in the playoffs.  Knicks are one of those teams looking to build momentum.  Said it earlier, Grizzlies are 2-4 straight up on the road since March 11, and on an 0-4 run.

 

Warriors and Jazz because Home teams fighting for playoff spots against teams out of playoff chase are 9 of 13 ATS (the losses were Nuggets (twice), Heat, and Lakers.)  That is 9 of 10 for teams that have not clinched.

BTW the Heat line as you can see from CP74 and some of my parlays has dropped to -5 money is going into the Bulls- this is a big game and the lines will move because it poses a good challenge to the Heat streak on TV and people want to be a part of that, either by betting the bulls or the heat so the line movement today I think will be true and accurate. As for negatives I hope the Heat don't rely on the 3 because they hit so many of them on Monday that I doubt they can keep that 50-60% shooting from 3 pt land. I want to see Lebron drive to the Basket get the Bulls in foul trouble and then have it's way with them. I picked the over in this game on a teaser to 180 because last game was a blow out by 19- and that was mostly by the lack of scoring by the bulls- so if they put up another 15 pts the Heat will need to try and match that and that brings me to 100-83 or so -

actually there was rlm on this line, my book opened at 186.5 and went down to 184.5 and is now going back up, probably because of the public siding with the over as well....not sure about the over.

Have you guys seen the number of RLMs today? I think counted 9 so far. Never seen that many before on the same day.

I know it's crazy!! bound to be some traps for sure....

That's what I am thinking. I will monitor lines closely today. Will be more important than any trends on these games. Really liking ORL CHA O199.5 and SAS -7 DEN right now.

I didn't say I was playing it, ..yet, but that's my lean, there is rlm with both the side and the total, the rlm will not hit on both I'm sure, I don't like memphis and the over doesn't seem right , i like better knicks and the under, makes more sense to me with the trends.Plus your theory about teams that have clinched a playoff spot playing on the road comes into effect here i believe.

that would be on the side and not the totals, haven't they been losing more often than not?

Reasoning

Utah has been playing great defense as they make their playoff run.  Phoenix is out of the playoff picture and motivation will be lacking as they play away from home.  Utah should dominate this game on both ends of the court with the healthy lineup they are putting on the floor tonight.

I am also leaning towards Houston -5.5, but am waiting further confirmation if West is playing for Indiana.  Has anyone heard anything about him playing tonight?  I am getting varying reports on the internet.

 I know the last 4 vs NY and MEM in NY have avg 220 pt/gm. Today is going under 186?

-boston/cleveland opened:193.5 went up to 195.5 and is now at 194.5

-knicks/memphis as mentioned above sides and total

-atl/tor seems to be also side and total

-houston/indiana line moving with houston public on indiana

-san antonio/denver line moving with san antonio public on denver

there are some more lines that have gone the opposite way by a pt and that have moved back up 1/2 pt, so still 1/2 point under or over the original line...

I like san antonio and houston.....

 The one game those 2 did play in NY and NY held them to 86 pts, Memphis had just finished loosing 7 straight games before that game in 09 avg 85 pts/ gm for those 7 losses. This game hit's 200 tonight.
