Moving to Vegas to become a full time pro handicapper

I don't believe in Flat Betting.  Never have.  Maybe my view would change if I was a Pro instead of a Recreational gambler.  Maybe.  Based on the numbers above a Flat Bettor at $390 is risking 1.3% of a $30K bankroll.  Who the fukk bets only 1.3%?  Maybe if I had an $80K bankroll that luxury would be an option.

And you can't say Streaks (both Good & Bad) are BS because they are a FACT of any form of gambling including Sports Wagering.  If you are not fluctuating your Bankroll percentage between at least 2% and 5% then you are forcing yourself to produce at 60% based on the numbers above.  Too much pressure to produce at 60% when fluctuating wagers can allow you to survive Streaks at a more reasonable 55%.

Jper (Scal)...Why does it matter to you? Hes been at it for 2 weeks...I think posting picks helps for structure and discipline in his situation for now...hes putting his azz on the line every time he post his picks...up 4 dimes, so far so good...doesn't matter how he gets there...its up to the individual...there is no pamphlet on how to do it!

Streaks - in and of themselves - are useless to a gambler.

They only provide a story to tell after the fact.  There is zero value in using streaks as a predictor - unless of course there is causation in the way you are handicapping to cause the streak.

But "luck" and "bad luck" streaks - only value is to provide a gambler with a convenient explanation.  They do nothing to improve your money management or overall expected value.

And as far as flat betting goes...  I just used it as an example because that seems to be what CG is doing.  And if you flat bet, you can easily come to a bet size.

That is true. It doesn't matter how he gets there. I can imagine you would have to stay pretty focused though with no other income coming in. Either way, it sounds like a stressful occupation.

I tend to agree with you Goose,IMO you need to fluctuate yr bet slightly,and ride hot streaks to end up being able to survive cold steaks...BUT I was waiting for Mansack to show up here...I value his opinion alot......If this "story" has any truth to it, CG needs to be listening to VETS around here that actually know what they are talking about....Scal included...

Listen I been posting on this thread for years and always wanted to go pro and finally did. The reason I post these plays and videos is so people can follow this journey. I figured people r intrigued how someone could do when they pick up and pack the bags and go pro that's all.
