One other thing. I am not sure why people bash College and root against him. Are you people so unhappy with your lives that you have to internet bash some dude trying to live a dream? It vexes me a little. It is one thing to try to offer some tips; but it is completely different to just bash the dude to bash the dude. College has had a great start and you all should support him. If you have advice, offer it since it is a free, open forum but dont chastise him if he doesnt take it given it is NONE OF YOUR MONEY GOING TO THE BOOK. Thanks and that is my two cents for the day.

Yea I am not trying to do this for attention I just simply been posting my plays on this fourm since 2008 (college days in bama) and I like to keep my season long records for each sports and this is the easiest place for me to document it.. instead of a pad and paper or in excel or what not

Also, I figured people would be intrigued how the whole experience of going pro will turn it

yea of course I was annoyed by a 1-3 -$1150 day   I expect to win every bet... that's what winners should do, you can't expect to lose...

what mostly got me frustrated was adding the shitt illini to my card when I simply said Oregon, Milwaukee and zona state were going to be my 3 plays for the day.

I like my K play selection on Chicago -7 tonight a lot tho and will be perfectly fine with myself If I lose bc its my fav play on the card by miles

tdog- I always go grizzly pouches... 3 in at once, switched to putting them in left side of mouth because front teeth were getting loose from putting 3 in the front all the time lol

I think me being only 28 too has people jealous because they know I have a lot of years I can do this for if I make the right selections and also with no baggage in my life they know this is the right time for me to take this RISK and know I am young enough to bounce back if things don't work out... but once again I am very confident they will not only work out but I will thrive in this business

HutchEMALL- I think I have shown great restraint and discipline out here thus far... I occupy my time in the am by capping, then gym, then I go to Albertsons or smiths and pick out my chicken, fish, ground beef or steak for the evening...  usually one of those 4 with a nice salad and rice...

before I know it it's around 2-3 pm and games are starting out here within an hour or two... I go watch my bet (s) and then I am home relaxed and then I make myself a nice dinner and relax for the evening.

on Fridays and Saturdays I go out... twice a week only... and yes just like any other full blooded American male I try to get laid.. I love women and the excitement of them.. is that strange?  I would think it would be strange to be any different than that.

I have a beer or two max... I know I have to drive and am not driving drunk under any circumstances... I shop for my food and cook  don't waste money going out to eat more than an occasional burger CRACK at in and out or carl jr... 

I think overall I am mature beyond my years to living in this city as a 28 year old with all the temptation etc...  I have not played one table game or even touched a slot machine

I do dable in roulette 5 times a year or so but only risk around $500 each time...   honestly I was tempted to go last night after a bad betting day but I showed restraint and said no roulette for the night...  I just relaxed and enjoyed some tv.. watched some show bar rescue it was good.. the host from new York John Teller I think his name is  is a hard behind who turns restaurants and bars around good show..

I feel very good going into this bulls bet and win or lose I will be making myself a nice dinner and enjoying Monday night raw and a relaxing evening as I do every Monday-Thursday and sundays..

 

Ok hutch I'm going to say this once I been following College since day one . I respect him for what he is doing . I throw once in while my plays . Ok this is betting Forum correct . I have never told College or anyone to follow my players I admit I'm small player $25-50 plays . I'm not like a lot players saying lock of the year . Bet thousands on this play . it is nice to "meet" you, College. I am in my 40s and been gambling since I was in college as well. I am impressed that you did this. It took a lot of guts and cajones to do it. Here is the one piece of advice that I have for you (and throw it out the window since you do not know me from MJ): Bradyisgreat had one good piece of advice in all his angst that slow and steady wins the race. Be patient because you will hit a bad run; how you respond to that will be your success or failure. I think you will be ok because you did not overreact after the 0-4 day and just came back steady. I wish you nothing but good bounces and fortune. Also, I looked at that dude Scal; he wins nothing. Have him post every game like you do and see what his record is. I doubt it is over 45%.

I mentioned this last week but they saw Monday night raw is LIVE... well it's not live on the west coast... starts here at 8pm pacific and ends at 11 pm pacific just like it was shown 8pm-11 pm eastern...

so u guys on the east coast don't unveil to me what happens because once the show is over for u it's just starting for me

agree Obama.. my money management has been FANTASTIC and I get nothing but criticized for it...  I mentioned to people I  been here only 15 days so far and I got a year lease.. why would I possibly EXPOSE my self to potential huge risk so early into my journey?   now that would be immature and foolish imo

Why has your money management been fantastic?  Are you confusing self imposed discipline with money management?

I would define money management as the science behind how much to risk, at what times, at what price.  Seems to me like you have decided that you are betting 500 bucks (sometimes 1000) for a random reason, and drive down to a book and bet. 

Im really trying to understand - and help you see a point at the same time.  So what about what you are doing in any way could even be called money management?  I have posted several things in this thread about calculations that could help you - and they are ignored in favor of the TMZ stuff you choose to post.  Hey - that's fine - your gig - but I would think you would want to at least discuss it because maybe I could learn something and maybe you could too.  Who knows.

So what about anything you are doing is money management?  Where does the 500 unit size come from?  I will give you credit for having discipline - but like the guy who does OCD rituals - you seem disciplined in a routine that seems randomly chosen.

Ive been here in Vegas and in the sportsbooks for a long time and I know plenty of "edge players" or as most of this forum calls them..."professionals".....and I don't know ANY that are trying to pick winners. Trying to pick winners is simply TOO MUCH gamble for them. Edge players or professionals as you call them are playing numbers, cutting lines, middling games. That's what they do. Sure, they get stuck on teams sometimes, but its not what their objective is. Edge players are looking (generic example, but you get the point) to lay -2.5 and take back 4. There looking to get the Redsox in the morning at +130 and then the team there playing at +115. or, the Saints -3.5 +120 and taking the opponent +3 at even money. This is what "professional sports bettors" (edge players) do out here.

Good Luck to you CG. I believe that you have the tenacity to do this because you love it. I just don't think, it can be done by gambling.

Get yourself some outs (different lines to look at and shop). Meet some of these guys in these books to show you how and what they do. If youre in there everyday, youll see what im talking about. If you have trouble meeting some...I can introduce you. And BTW...I don't know any of them (what I call an edge player) that hasn't been successful. Its a ton of work, but if done right...usually with a person on a computer somewhere with outs...it can be extremely profitable.

Welcome to page 70 Jic.  This has been stated over and over here.  But its always good to hear it again, because it will just get drowned out with all of the noise.

CG - betting 550 per bet because of your 30k bankroll is useless if you need 10k a month profit.

You are only talking about less than half of the equation.  You cant set a bet size until you understand what you are trying to do.  You need to identify the following:

1.  Goal
2.  Time period
3.  Win percentage
4.  Number of wagers over time period
5.  Bankroll

Your bankroll is 30k and your win percentage is 60%.  When you identify the other three items it is simple math to come to your bet size.

Making a bet size the way you have makes no sense.  What good is winning 3k a month if your living expenses are 5k a month?

Rent, car insurance, gas, food, student loan, cell phone bill, macys (furniture), best buy (tv's) car finance payment etc... Macys and best buy will be done soon tho that was for just moving. Also, isn't it smart to start out small just to establish some stability win or lose? That's what I thought at least
