There's a movie that came out in 1988 called Coming To America.
Did anyone here see it? No matter. I'm going to tell you and CG about it because its themes bear resemblance to what is going on with this Vegas trip (and 'trip' is kind because I want to use the word 'debacle' but can't do so just yet).
Anyhow, it starred Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall and James Earl Jones, all one-time box office and/or TV powerhouses.
Eddie played Prince Akeem.
Arsenio played Semmie, Akeem's underling.
And James Earl Jones was King.
Now why am I telling you all this?
Well there is a scene in that movie that basically is the springboard for Prince Akeem's entire trip to America, hence the title of the movie.
James Earl Jones is all for his son going to America. He thinks it's about his son's sexual conquests before being ordered to marry.
But Prince Akeem is actually searching for a wife he will be able to love instead of having one arranged.
The King speaks one key line about his son that reminds me of this entire Vegas trip: "Let him sow his royal oats."
Semmie is all for this and beds down, or at least attempts to bed down a bevy of women throughout the film.
Prince Akeem never loses focus though, and eventually finds his bride.
Now if this Vegas trip were to mirror the plot in coming to America, who would CG be?
Well he's no Prince Akeem, I'll tell you that. He's definitely more like Semmie.
And his 'oats' certainly aren't 'royal'. Perhaps someone could make a remix of Lorde's hit and have it say "CG's oats will never be rooooyal...."?
No, his oats are from the bottom of the barrel where all the rejected Italian sausages reside.
And what has he decided to do on the biggest trip of his life? His own "Coming to America"?
He's sowing his oats far and wide with anything that moves.
And this folks, is allegedly a trip about 'becoming a pro gambler'.
This 'pro' business is pure poppycock.
This is a trip about having fun...and making some big bets along the way, living fast in Sin City.
Woohoo! You can hear the covers frat boys cheer him on. They write it here daily. Leave CG alone! Slay that Milf CG!
How has CG faired the day after is sexual escapades? 2-5. And he hasn't exactly betting setting the world on fire since the first bedroom romp of the trip overall.

So you'd think, after hitting < 30% after engaging in such behavior he'd change his ways?

After another lowlight of a night, this man's head is soon to be in between some 40-some year old's knockers. He's having his fun folks...and making some bets along the way...
Ah well, maybe she'll do his laundry. With the way he's going, I'd set the over/under on "Has CG washed his boxer shorts even once in Vegas" at 1/2.
Anyhow, if Semmie had his way in that movie both he and Akeem would have ended up in one place....the gutter.
So CG get your head out of the sand...I mean...those knockers and channel your inner Prince Akeem before it's too late...
or else you sir, will be working for $7.25 an hour as a cashier in McDowell's back in Joisy.

that spurs game had bill walters M.O tonight. I read the article that said he will be like 100 k on the other side he doesn't like, just to get himself an extra point or 1/2 point on the side he likes and pounds it. CG, don't get worked up over single losing DAYS. It's just a long series of consecutive bets and if you're consistently capping in the upper 50's you will have almost as many losing days as winning days in the long run, but the with a little more winning days making all the difference. Just like 58% is almost as much as 50% but makes all the difference in the world.

You state you are in this for the long term, but that is short term talk. And I get it....anyone who has a losing day wants to bounce back and wants to turn that around even the next day.
Two losing days in a row for the first time and that is not fun I'm sure. But you adjusted your bets a bit so that you'd have a winning day if you won both. It's your gig, but that just seems to be incorrect reasoning.
You're at 59% right now....if someone said you would win at that rate for the rest of this year, you'd take that an run IN A SECOND.
Now if your first month was reversed....ie. if you started a little slower and had been coming on the last week, you'd probably feel like Superman.
I'm no expert, but doesn't half the exercise originally involve trying to keep the same mindset no matter what? Cuz you're certainly going to go on winning and losing streaks.
I know you know some pros on covers who are successful. One thing I notice about them is that they are always the same. They don't NOT make a bet because they are 10-0 on the day and couldn't possibly go 11-0 nor do they make a bet or increase their bet size to have a winning day.
Most pros don't chase because it's pretty much impossible to do so if they are true to their approach.
And I think ranger made a comment about discipline....how many people here are saying discipline means only betting a certain percentage of your roll, etc. I think what he's talking about is being disciplined in your approach (ie. do you know when and why you are successful and do you exploit those situations consistently).
I kind of compare it to manufacturing.and quality. Certain things are possible (ie. level of production and quality) because your processes are robust and consistent...you have control).
Now you appear to be a "feel" capper to a certain extent. Not a crime. But much harder to establish controls and consistency.
Now sports wagering has MANY more variables out of one's control than does manufacturing. And you can have an extremely developed model of how you go about your business and someone off the street could come in and blow your doors off for 6 months..makes it even less motivating to put in a lot of time and effort on that stuff.
I never used to be a huge fan of writing in a journal, but I do now. It forces me to look at the mistakes I make and what I might do different to avoid them the next time....or to handle them better. It is unbelievable how much you learn about yourself and limit the number of times you make the same mistake twice. Not to mention, it could eventually make one heck of a book. 
I'm watching "The Longest Day" which is making this the longest night. With that, I'll shut up.
Don't forget to ask yourself, "what did I learn today?" and actually be serious about it.
