Not on grass they're not. Before this iteration of Wimbledon, Tauson (at 22.5 yo hardly a greenhorn) had never made it out of the 1R in 3 appearances, and Collins had a best effort of one 4R loss in 6 appearances (which is leaving aside the fact her self-described ongoing problems with endometriosis can't be contributing to her producing her best tennis, a fact seemingly mirrored by her rapidly declining ranking).

I've posted no pre-match bet, I've posted my rationale for believing in the American. The American's nerves/mindset being the major factor I identify between her winning or not, I shall wait and see how she navigates the early going before placing any live bet. Young women in their first final can readily render every stat on paper & tactical angle utterly irrelevant. Lisicki's 2013 effort on Center Court isn't one easily forgotten. If I ascertain the occasion is overwhelming her and the odds are right then the Pole it is.
