Funny story, I read an article earlier today where the guy couldn't believe Osaka was favored since Tauson had won their only meeting earlier this year and he doubted that Osaka had improved her hard court game enough in less than a year to turn the tables on Clara. This was not from a random social media post, it was an actual article on a sports website. People read this crap thinking the author actually knows what they're talking about. Even if the guy doesn't remember or didn't watch the match it only takes about twelve seconds to research what actually happened before they publish an article acting like they're some kind of expert.

Hehe noob :) Osaka is favoured for good reason - and should also be if Tauson had won that other match fair and square - she has a playstyle that actually is pretty hard for Tauson usually - I personally think the market has made Osaka too much of a favourite - but yeah if you say Tauson should be - quoting her earlier win as your reason - you have no clue what you talking about

If you count the money I manage - I lost close to 100k on that match - and I laughed - you shouldn’t bet money if you can’t handle bad beats - I have seriously lost 6 figures when my player withdrew and was up two breaks in deciding set - and then it is just resetting your mindset the day after - when AI becomes advanced enough - I swear they will beat 80% of bettors just money managing and betting on random events - if you are a winning player (+ev) - you don’t win or lose money - you earn money or borrow the bookmaker them temporarily
