And if you are going to write a painfully blase essay, try to say something meaningful. Perhaps your "girlfriend" err hand cares about your convoluted dogma, but nobody else does. You are a complete dumbass if you are not CONSTANTLY aware of the value of your 401k, but then again you have already shown that and probably don't have one anyway. Carry on.

You wrote back?!?!? Wow. I 'm glad I checked. LOL! And my "hand", she liked that by the way though suggested maybe more originality like sex doll or plastic box said she loves your vocab but thinks you might want to check your audience. It's a gambling site not a literature forum most guys here want to look at hot chicks and find out who the winners are today not read garrulous prose. Probably true she was an english major. Though I am glad we found you here. BTW good post on the WIlliams matchup, the doubles match was something I didn't even consider. I like a good argument very much.
Anyway I know no one reads this, hopefully you will, but I love when people argue with weak points. Reminds me of debate and I got amped up for that.
Anyway let's see if I can look at a thesaurus too to try and sound intelligent...Hmmm. No, I'm too lazy to look so I'll try w/o. The belightedness of your simplistic argument evidences your incompetence in elementary investing principles. That was really...not fun at all. Illustrated by your need to contantly observe your 401K one witnesses inadequacy, poverty, and poor confidence. If you are about to retire or retired, I respect that, understand completely and understand your concern and apologize for making light of it. I am making an assumption you are under 40 and have a decent job with disposable income (I base that on you gambling), if that doesn't apply to you then yes, as you said look at it every day. If not relax, you can't even legally touch it 'til you're almost 60. I am 35 have a job I love, did pretty well back in the dotcom days and don't have any interest in retiring for awhile so I'll let my 401K sit and grow. I don't care about it yet. Again like Diana (AKA hand) said you should know your audience. If you have to check it every day you're counting pennies, you don't know what you're doing and you don't trust your own decisions; financially a drop from 2M to 1.5 sucks but doesn't kill a guy. But I guess if you drop from 10k to 5k, I'm assuming that's your situation based on your concern for daily movements once again assuming you are young and remember it will recover in a few years, you're going to be giving head on the corner for a little longer than you expected to.
Here's a plan for you: just pick a decent fund (at this point in time I'd go with a fund heavy in stocks since they will rebound and go up at some point and prices are almost historically low) contribute what you are able (at the minimum what your company matches if you work for a company) and you'll be good. You can look every day if you want but there's really no need for the stress. Saves time and stress which kills us all.
Also research your comeback a bit and put some meat in the argument before throwing it up it leads to a stronger case and it's more fun. In conclusion work on marketing for your that BJ stand of yours! Soon you'll be sucking off guys the way McDs serves burgers, maybe you can franchise out... and your retirement worries will be a thing of the past!
And going back to the inital argument if you need to worry about your pennies, set your gambling limit don't exceed it and have fun or don't gamble!!
Thank you again I enjoyed writing with you. And again if you are poor or are of retirement age, I sympathize and I hope it turns around for you. If you want to PM me please do, I would like more argument.

Why is there any hate in this thread? Coley laid it on the line - an amount he can clearly afford to lose judging by what he has said - and it didn't happen to pay off this time. So what?

Coley I want to help you get your money back and here is how. Bet the house on Amir Khan to beat Andreas Kotelnick (see my boxing picks) on July 18th. I got it at 8/13 when the line came out (don't know what that is in US numbers). I put 130k to win 80k (I am a professional gambler, well if FED loses tomorrow and Khan losses then it will be a short career mind you lol)..I am WELL confident on this one. Sadly the odds have been backed into 4/9. Still a f&%*ing steal. You want to get better odds double it up with GSP beating Thiago Alves in the UFC 100 at 1/3 on but that is more risky then Khan even though GSP odds are worse..

I'm not chasing mate and never planned too. I don't plan on reloading till August for the prem. I had a plan set out whether I lost that bet or not and nothing has changed. I'm still going to stick around and help other punters out but I'm done betting wise for little while. I appreciate the advice and tip though! Congrats on Serena winning today btw! Wimbledon has been very kind to you. You deserve it mate.
