I'll make that money back three, four or five-fold during the prem next year. I'm not worrying about it in the slightest! Also to all you haters, I just got a call from girlfriend who told me she is horny and do you know what means? Fucky Fucky sucky sucky or whatever way you like it. Enjoy being a doucher while I'm fucking.
Nobody worth a damn writes like you do. I'll assume you didn't bet very much on this parlay. I feel better about it now.

I blindly bet Rodick after the 3rd set....up 2 games to 1, Murray needing 2 games....getting Rodick at -121 was a good deal to me.
Great bet. I'm happy I didn't hedge. I know you think I'm on drugs for saying that but always stick to your betting principles and in the end it will bring you success. I stuck by my guns and unfortunately it wasn't ment to be. Anyways thanks to all the guys in here backing me up. I really appreciate it. Anyways I'm off to go have angry passionate sex.

not gonna say I told you so, but at 3:1 you could've done the hedge and protected your original bankroll and not dented the win too much if you hit the parlay.
I have been in that position many times and always kick myself when I do not let the math do the thinking instead of emotions.
Good luck in the fall soccer season and enjoy taking a break to go into that season with some fresh thinking.
Sounds like you have your life together. This is just a small dent in the bankroll. You could have had a ton in the stock market and taken a much bigger hit to the balance sheet in a "legitimate" gamble that nobody in the general populace would give you an ounce of crap about.
F em all, take a plane down to St Tropez and chill out.

Fuck man...I dont know shit about tennis but I posted earlier in this thread i think on pg.8 how i saw a semi's FIELD other than Murray to win bet at -320 i think.
Fuck i wish someone would have responded and told me how much of a steal that was. Anyways I didnt pull the trigger.
Opportunity lost.

Just to be more specific....it was a bet FOR either Roddick, Federer or Haas to win it all at -320 !!!!
What the hell....seems to me like that bet should be more like
-1200 because its basically the anti parlay for Murray next 2 matches.
Damn you non-responders!!! think if i would have been more vocal about it we all could have jumped on board for a nice cash.
Sorry dude. If you need other people to feed you bets, you shouldn't be betting. Murray was 6-2 lifetime against Andy and similarly dominant against Fed. He had the home crowd. This match could easily have gone his way. -320 won this time but wasn't a steal.

I admire it. Coley. I have lost my whole nut a few times, doubled it too, I feel your pain but know the ride was pretty awesome.
This is really preachy but for those saying "that's bs" and "no way it's that much" learn to balance your bankroll. I don't know the guy so I can't verify anything but if you're freaking out about losing that much then you need to read a little about managing cash flow. Unless you are truly a degenerate or a really good pro (if so share some tips), there is help if you are, this is PLAY money if you end your season up or decide to stop up, yeah, you have some to pay for Jamaica with but if you decide to risk is all on a final play that's part of the fun. All you are losing is house money and your initial depos. I started last football season with 2K played it up to 8300 then lost it all on the f'ing steelers inability to cover, I usually play it all on the superbowl, if any is left. I was pissed but I lost 2k for the year but it's what I budgeted so no biggie. It's all paper profits 'til you cash out anyway.
The fact that you guys are freaking out alarms me. It's play money. Unless he's a pro, and just f'd his livelyhood, he probably had a good time; sucks he lost but imagine the rush if he won. That's what we're in this for, I hope. Money is nice but it's a game if you want to bet $1 or $100K just make sure you can afford to lose it and GL.

It's funny that you mention money management a few times and then proceed to describe the worst money management imaginable. It is NOT "house money" or "funny money" or anything else, if you've won it, then it is YOUR money. You need to treat like any other money that is yours. Do you seriously think for one minute that the risk manager for a major book anywhere in the world looks at their take for an event and thinks, "wow this was Joe So and So from Chicago's money, now we can afford to alter our methodologies." ??

If you are playing a ca$h poker game and count your shit every hand I am in complete agreement. If you are betting online or at a brick and mortar book it depends. Is it a realized loss yet? It would depend on the accounting principle they attempt to use, GAAP is kinda hazy on that. It's like the gift certifciate issue, it's a liability, you have sold credit in your store but what if the customer loses a $50 gift card or forgets they have it? What happens to the $50 in assets the store was supposed to give them in excange for the credit that we now don't have to deliver because the creditor never comes calling? How do the books balance that on their sheet? They are pretty fing pumped if the creditor doesn't show!!! If you think they are itching to pay you you're really nieve. I can tell you first hand, one of my first forays years ago, that if you go up to the same betting window you placed your bet with and tell her that you won but you lost your ticket they sure as hell don't say "of course sir, we accounted for our loss here's our money coupled with your inital investment" just like Brooks Brothers doesn't say "of course, we'll give you $250 in assets for that card we sold your ex boss, who's name you can't remember, 5 months ago" without the card.
In my mind it is play money until I have physical US currency in my hands; if I'm up or losing I never tell my girl "well I was up $11000 then lost..." because she immediately views that as losing 11000 and, I learned from that too, I get my ass kicked because she has realized the win and instead of losing my inital investment I have now lost real money. That's why I only use play money for this like I said I'm not a pro but I've won a few seasons and lost a few and it's fun. If I win, I put some benjamins on my girls' nightstand and she can shop then I'm a hero if I don't win I don't say shit other than I lost on some BS call and I get sympathy head. If I lose I lose my inital investment if I lose in 5 minutes or week one I'm done if I get to play all season or all trip as long as I keep it in my budget I'm good. Self control. Sorry, I'm not looking for another girl so you'll have to look elsewhere for a new boyfriend to whine at, as for gambling if you like to cash out and jerk off over your little pile of cash after every win, that's your perogative, I like to enjoy the ride as any other investment.
I-n-v-e-s-t-m-e-n-t [in-vest-muhnt] Do you count your 401K money every day too? I don't advise it nowadays but if you do pull your head outta your ass and wait 'til the day you actually cash it out, self control again, because the results aren't going to be in your bank account "realized" gains or losses 'til that day.
I for one like Coley's bet, have no issue with my own system to date, and will be watching to see how he starts off the Premier League to see how he does winning it back.
