I'm very confused why bouzkova is favored. Is did not do a deep dive, but hasn't TT won convincingly the past two matchups.  with the last matchup being on clay this year.  The faster hardcourts in montreal should give TT even more of an edge, no?

 Bouzkova is quietly having a career year and is at a career high ranking. So that and the results that got her there surely have to affect her power rankings with the books I would think. 

Townsend was like -130 in March I think but that was coming on the back of a hot spring for her on American hard. Now she's had that European swing to cool off some although the wins she picked up on Madrid are more than she's used to getting during that stretch.

Some of the current power ratings I'm looking at right now have Bouzkova as the slight favorite so really that's right in line with what the odds are. I'd say that's largely due to those good results she had on grass this year. Really kind of a mirage that gives us the opportunity at plus odds.

Also with a small favorite like that with name recognition like Bouzkova in a big tournament will get plenty of love in moneyline parlays to keep those odds afloat.

That Osorio match stung. I don't know what her deal was but she had a bad attitude today and just wasn't the same player I'm used to seeing.

Yeah like I said yesterday I was waiting because I thought the odds might creep up and they have. I first saw +100 and best I see now is +116. Probably about to fire as I think they may drop again closer to match time. These are as good of odds as we could've hoped for considering TT was favored in both of their previous meetings this year.

cruisin in the first set and then just loses focus. Such a mental game for sure. As someone else posted, seems like they just don’t get fired up for their matches, lace em up, go play and if I win I win, or if I lose I lose. I wish I had that luxury at my workplace lol

The great ones are great for a reason…full effort 100% of the time. If you lose, it should frustrate you and make you dig deeper. Of course, nobody wants to loose but the difference between grit and determination and “oh well, we tried” is becoming more obvious in today’s world

 Yes on Taylor. She was -128 in March so I'll happily take +116 today. 

Seems like Pliskova +2.5 set 1 would be a good option there. I don't think Mirra cared to be bothered too much by grass season but I do expect her to show up here ready to work again though.

Falkowska is another tempting play in Warsaw. I might watch a little live first though. Also Yaneva live.
