Gadecki/Peers vs Krunic/Pavic

I think we’re getting good value on Krunic & Pavic.

Gadecki & Peers won the mixed here last year, but their form hasn’t been convincing. Peers is 37, lost in the 1st round of men’s doubles, and is 1–3 this year. In 2025 he finished 24–27 with zero titles, which is a big drop-off for a former world #2.

Gadecki has also struggled, losing in the 1st round of women’s doubles and starting the year 0–2.

On the other side, Pavic (world #7) is in great form at 4–1 this season and has a men’s doubles QF tomorrow. He’s already won 3 mixed Slam titles (AO, US Open & Wimbledon), so I expect full focus here. Krunic is also playing well and has a women’s doubles QF, but it’s against the #1 seeds.

The home crowd is the main advantage for the Australians, but Krunic & Pavic have already beaten two Aussie pairs on the way here.
