The only thing i see that doesn't really make sense is that while you are testing you place money on the play....not bashing or anything but that's not smart...Doesn't take away anything if you just run a sample to see how things go before you place money on the games while testing...

 why are you betting $100 for nba totals and less ($35) for the more tested nhl moneylines?

ridibets: its 2 separate things.. $100 bet for me is very small.....1% or less of bankroll......

the $35 bets are part of the project....

i thought i had made this clear....... just think of them as 2 separate things..

butta: its hard for me to just wager for fun or tracking purposes... a $100 bet is actually a small bet for me....

sorry for the confusion... just dont confuse any of the Program bets, with the other bets... the Program bets are layed out, all the way to 100k....

i understood they were separate bankrolls. i just didnt understand why you would bet less on a more tested method, but its clear now, it is just a project for you and you can obviously afford more.

kkirby, sorry -- i said that one a little 'tongue and cheek'...

 

ive spent about 16hrs the past 2 days working on things, specifically on nba totals and nfl totals... i wont be outworked in this business..

ill run the update a little later, when all the lines come out but ive got a few things to say (sorry)...

 

I dont want to confuse anyone.. The Power Ratings Program plays come from a $1000 that i broke off from my overall bankroll, simply to work this project... It is not my entire bankroll.. I think some of you are confused on that part... Sorry for the confusion btw... The plays listed as TOP plays represent from 1%-2.5% of my overall bankroll, as i like to play them for $100-$250 normally... hope this clears that up...

 

here are some things that i know and some things that i can speculate very strongly on... Lets break these into about 5 categories.

1. Whats going to work longterm......... Baseball and Hockey Moneyline Underdogs... The record is 114-103 for those 2 combined and we hit baseball at a bad time of the season...

2. Whats not going to work........... I think we can put early season college sports into this category, both football and basketball.... I also think we can place MLB and NHL totals into this category... The edge is just not going to be there on a regular basis...

3. Whats looking rough right now........ NFL and NBA ML Underdogs... the sample size is very small but im privy to alot of back info and can run alot of projections and the results are looking dim... in saying that, we will continue to track both sports.

4. What looks promising............ NBA and NFL totals.... this is solely from a hunch i had and the work that ive done over the last 2 days... I believe we can get a good edge in these sports... I will continue to play and post them for $100 under the heading of TOP plays,,,,, please realize this is about a 1% wager for me.... Also please understand this........ If the results come in at a winning percentage of (57.14%) or higher, I will deem it a huge SUCCESS.. If your looking for much more, your kidding yourself.

5. Whats left unexplored............. College totals.... quite frankly i wont be able to get to football this year... i just dont have the time or energy and the season is about 70% over.... I will take a deep look at ncaab totals, starting the first week of Jan 2011...

 

sorry for rambling guys but thats roughly how things sit........ today is day #60 of this 1000 day journey, so there is plenty of time to come aboard....

the nba and nfl totals will remain under the heading of TOP plays for some time... i could possibly see them working into the project later on but not now...

I don't consider what you put in post #660 "rambling."  What you do is clearly and concisely explain your reasoning.  You often answer questions I have before I get a chance to ask them.  And I appreciate the status report on the totals project.  I'm looking forward to seeing your results.

i believe we are going to have to shift the posting time to around 10-10:30 am CST time daily.... i am not one to sit and wait daily on the lines to be posted...  so expect a gradual shift in posting times...

i will post the NFL totals on friday for this weekend, along with the nfl underdogs to track....

lot of stuff going on currently... hang in there.... i really think we are approaching about 70% complete, as to what i want the final picture to look like.... the MLB and NHL dogs will get us about 50% of the way there, i hope the nba and nfl totals, along with the TOP plays can take us the remainder of the way...

i really like what im seeing out of the nba totals.... its a 4-1 start for me on those..... so im pleased............ i hope someone is tracking the nba dogs, both on the ML and ATS...... i am not, so some help would be nice there...

Why don't you just do it this way.

Start $1000 turn into $100,000 in 36 months.  so $99,000 profit.

365 days a year X 3 is 1095

$99,000/1095 is $90.41 a day

So try to make you $90 a day, if you make more great, if you don't make $90 on a day, make it up the next day.

SInce you've been doing this for 60 days you would have $5400 already.

Or break it down hourly $90/24 hours is a meesly $3.75 an hour...
