yeah, ill show you how strong my nhl program is... there probably is no way that i would have bet nashville today (own my own) but the program said to play them and i did and they won... games like these are how i know that i have something pretty special with hockey and baseball..

Like I said, I know it's redundant to do that, especially when you have the up to date record posted.. 

It's just one of those things.. But no need to do that, I will do it on my own..

I am trying to see if I can match or beat your record on my own on 1 account and following you on another account.. 

Just to see how good my picks are and how I fare if I follow a similar money management system...

Rainmaker - Let me get this right - you want Thinker to post daily records - so you can see if are matching or beating his record.

Metslider - You want Thinker to repost so you can find the daily picks I believe.

GUYS - it's not that tough - Thinker posts everyday close to the same time and always adds if any additional picks may come later in the day.   THINKER is PROVIDING all of the information and you're REQUESTING MORE for you're own selfish reasons.

It's pretty SIMPLE, click on the LAST PAGE check the time and look for THINKERS' daily release. 

Let the MAN do what he does, he's sharing plus answering the questions OVER & OVER.

ok its monday, i have a few things to say but lets do the update first.

Beginning Balance on sept 5 2010: $1000

Current Balance on oct 25 2010: $1838 (new project high)

(thats great, im running where i need to be mid Jan)

 

Power Ratings Program: 114-108 (+$838)

TOP plays: 14-13 (+$376) (52%)

 

ok lets look at todays card and then go into a few things.

plays for monday oct 25

223. Columbus (+1.10) $35 to win $39

224. PHX (+1.20) $35 to win $42

225. Kings (+1.00) $35 to win $35

 

that is all, we are on all 3 NHL games tonight, if you cant get (+1.00) on the kings right now, id wait or play it anyway.

 

now lets open things up sport by sport..

 

Baseball: 73-73 (+$405) (+17.00 units) we dont need to discuss anything here, we just need to get to opening day 2011. this should be a heavy profit producer for the very long term.

Hockey: 28-16 (+$537) (+19.00 units) possibly a little higher on the units here but they were estimated... we dont need to say a word here, we simply need to keep collecting the cash.

Football: 13-19 (-$104) combined........... i am also not going to discuss football... all i will say is that the plays will be very limited but they will still come from the program and will be listed as TOP plays only. follow these at your own discretion.. i will keep telling you what the Program has to say but the plays are going to be very, very limited.... we dont need football to ruin a very good thing.

 

 

Basketball: here is one of things that i want to discuss.. i have the program completed and its ready to go but the question now becomes how to use it... For tuesday night the program likes (Miami) and (Phoenix) and passes on the lakers/houston game. Now the question becomes how best do we play this... do we use the ML and make it part of the Program or do we use it with the spread and make it part of the TOP plays... i would be interested in your feedback on this.. i will ultimately make the decision for this thread but id like some opinions on the NBA only.... i dont have the time or energy today to discuss the other things.

also i am kinda looking for a helper and i appreciate the responses from the last time i mentioned this.. im looking for someone that loves this business and much as i do and has the same amount of time that i do (or more).... please dont respond if you do not have the time to dedicate to being an assistant.... i need someone who is ready and available 7 days per week (thats how much time i put in).. i take NO days off... if you have the TIME and love this as much as i do, drop me a PM... if you dont, do not worry, the project is going to run right here in this thread, in its entireity...

 

PS: the program likes the giants tonight but i have had enough football this week.. i wont be playing the game but good luck if you do..

ok, ive heard from a couple of you already... let me explain a little about what im talking about...

i own a convenience store, so i have all day to work on this sports business, as ive owned that biz for 16yrs now and as long as everyone shows up, i can run it blindfolded.... my passion is the sports wagering business..

im looking for someone that is going to be available every day... someone that has a job that allows them to talk this business alot of time... i need someone to keep some stats, records, things like that... also someone that can post for me at times, when i am not around.. someone that can keep the record updated daily, exactly as i do......... someone to help answer questions... in late december i am going to be on vacation for almost 2 weeks... this will be a "working" vacation for me, as i dont want to miss a day on this endeavor that we have embarked on... but i may need some help, i cant work and talk this the entire time im gone, my wife would kill me......... i will need someone to act in my place here....

that about says it,,,,,,,, i think..

My 2cents, Thinker.   Are your system's NBA picks going to be primarily dogs?  And if so, would you expect those dog picks to hit around 50%?  If that's the case, then I would go with the ML. If the system is spitting out fav picks, go with the spread.  If the picks are dogs that will win less than 40+%, go with the spread. GL and thanks for sharing your picks.

I would put them as part of the top plays with the spread right now.  Let the system keep running with the NHL and MLB.  In the background we can check how the NBA looks on the ML and if it needs to be in the system then it can always be added.

thx snappa: the picks will be mostly dogs... we run into this problem,, lets say the lakers are playing the nets in LA.... the spread last year would be about 14... my program says that the lakers are the play, it does not say whether they cover the 14... and we abviously cant lay 6:1 on the ML.... so in this case, its very easy to pass on the game... but lets look at another scenario.

phx plays in portland tomorrow night... my program likes phoenix but they are about a (+2.80) ML dog or so... they are also getting (+7.5pts) on the spread... now which way should we go.... 7.5 is alot of points and how many 3:1 dogs hit... and should we risk our mlb and nhl profits on the chance......... maybe we should play for less money...

this is where my assistant will come in....... tracking these things for me,,,,, i want to see how both scenarios play out in the long run but i dont want to do all the work...

just like yesterday in the NFL...... my program said Pitt and TB would win and they did but they did not cover the spread, so i lost..

im sorting thru how best to handle this? just looking for opinions.. we could also say this..... anthing from (+1.00) to (+1.50) we make part of the program..... anything over (+1.50) we play as a TOP play and take the points...

im leaning to taking PHX +7.5 tomorrow night and not PHX (+2.80) on the ML.... this is a perfect example to look at and discuss..

metslider, i agree with what you said... but missing a (+2.80) dog on the ML will be painful... but so would blowing my nhl and mlb profits...

This. Play it safe until it has proved itself. If dogs are winning ML, they are also winning ATS. Just give it a week or two to prove itself, and then make the switch. Preserving bankroll in the second month is more important that speeding up your goal from 36 months to 32.

Jokeheads, i agree with that as well and im leaning that way... i actually think the goal of this thread can be met with just baseball and hockey... i dont think we even need basketball and football to accomplish this (if it can be accomplished)...

just so everyone knows... i went ahead and grabbed the PHX Suns tomorrow night in the nba +7.5 (-1.10).... they will be listed in the thread as a TOP play and the wager will be $220 to win $200... i will relist it tomorrow in the updated thread for tuesday...

i am still pondering what to do with Miami tomorrow night and i know the PHX/Lakers game is a pass for the program..

You are missing the point.. It's not simply enough to not post or not interfere..   I cant speak for Thinker, but I am guessing, he's trying to learn and grow just like us and welcomes us participation.. As long as we are not attacking him or his picks, or Giving him a hard time..

Some of you are JUST waiting for picks... but Thinker doesnt just post picks, he does a lot of rambling to show us what's on his mind and discusses the different sports and his winning percentage on them.. As well as his money management style..

Think about it.. if he didnt want us to learn or grow with him, he would simply have kept his picks private and record everything on a private spreadsheet...

Thanks to Thinker, I am now STRICTLY wagering Dogs in Hockey and I am winning..  That's coming from someone who 1 week into the NHL season couldnt name you one hockey team and havent ever watched one hockey game in my life..   

The request I made was to see if Thinker could make a [minor] adjustment and make a daily record as well as a YTD record.. But it was NOT A ORDER,, just to make it easier to follow.. and Like I said, I will do it myself.. Just wanted to see if he would do it too...

So, please.. Lay off.. and Let Thinker do his own talking... I'm sure if he doesnt appreciate something, he will tell us...

I'll echo Jokeheads' suggestion.  Let's see how many dogs are covering the spread at first, then if it's warranted, begin playing the dogs on the ML.  Or some combination of ATS/ML plays on the same dog.

You saying we can just keep a separate ATS (spread) and ML record up to 2 weeks into the season and see how they compare?

Basically, I or anyone can keep Track of when the Fav on the ML hits, how many times the Spread on that game also wins and vice versa on the dogs..

So let's say tomorrow's game [Houston/Lakers]
ML on dog (Houston) is +297 and spread is +7.5... 
ML on fav (Lakers) is -340 and spread is -7.5

If the ML on the lakers win, we can see if spread wins also and keep a record of the number of times both the ML and spread hits for a side..

And after two weeks, we can better  estimate if to go with spread or ML

I'm thinking that's what you want an assistant to do right?

Another option is to split the bet up among ML/ATS like this:

Instead of wagering x dollars on one bet:
wager .524*x on ATS and .476*x on ML.
If ATS hits (at -110) and .476 doesn't, you'll split for the day. If both lose, you lose 1 unit. But if both hit, your profit is substantially higher. (.5*x + [ML odds]*x*.476)...or 1.5-2 units usually.
