Since this is a 3 game series I think we just take our money and wait until AZ starts their 4 game series with Philly.

AZ is a dog today and Kershaw goes tomorrow. I think we wait and play it safe. Thoughts?

Dan it did qualify. another example could be stl starts a 3 gm series vs nym today then play mia. if they win the second game in the series, you start a new chase on gm3 as your A bet. if they lose then your B bet would be gm1 vs mia.

In the case of Ari vs LA, it seems we would have won every game - adding 2 units to our total.

B2W mentioned several times he does play it. He just didnt post the plays

In this scenario I know he chases the good teams to win. I don't think he does it faded the bad teams when they have match-ups vs 2 teams consecutively that meet the rpi criteria.
I.E. Mia plays SD then LA. lost to SD in the first game of the series. so we continue to fade Mia. Another 2 units here if we played it (of course sd was not official, they were/are under .500 win % - same for la)

From the rules he wrote, it says to chase after winning game 1 of a 4 game series and in back to back 2 game series. Nowhere does it say to start another chase after game 1 of a 3 game series. He might have played these as unofficial plays on his own, but he didn't post or include these in the official record. I might play these also but still not official plays.

You are 100% correct. he did not write it down in the rules.
If you are able Dan, can you also keep track of these unofficial plays?

That was the MLB rpi continuation system. He posted those plays seperately two years ago.

I don't presume to speak for the community but, I would prefer if the continuation stuff was kept out of this thread. It will only clutter it and confuse people. There are enough confused posters chiming in with questions about regular RPI chase series (see: Atl series, questions about StL and Was/Pit last week).

Either way, I believe today should be the start of two new chases:

    Pit
    Ari

Hopefully not too many more C games.

I will leave this thread to official plays only. I actually will not even be tracking unoffical plays.

    Thursday 5/9:

    Pitt - A game

    AZ - A game

Both 4 game series so if there is a win on the A game we start another chase with an A game on game 2.

    Record: 9-1

    A: 5-5

    B: 3-2

    C: 1-1

My pleasure. I wish B2W was doing it, but I think collectively we can make sure the plays are correct as if he was doing it. Afterall, we are all here to help each other win, right?

Killer juice. The official play is the ml but I can't blame someone from playing the rl at somewhere around -135.

The high juice is the one problem I have with this system. I still like the results, maybe I just need to accept the fact that this is a high risk system that way and there will be a loss or two during the year that will really hurt. The key is to not bet too much as a % of your bankroll. I know some on here bet this system as a labby line as well as a way to reduce the risk of a large C game bet.

The more I track and test the underdog system, the more I'm liking that!

Shame about B2W not being around, but as with most things in life you need to move on. I will try to add my two bits worth if there appears to be an error.  This is early days, so there may be errors, but as the season progresses I think things will fall into place.  If the posting becomes too tedious and you need a break Dan, just let the people know.

The juice is insane. But, I think your next sentiment is the correct course of action. Your starting wager on an "A" game needs to be no more than 2.5% of your bankroll.

I will echo B2W and say avoid the RL at all costs. A great recent example is Texas on Saturday night. Go look at the main Baseball threads. 8-4 lead in the 9th, closer gives up 3 - Texas wins, RL loses. RL's suck. Players are not trying to win by 2, they are just trying to win.

Another warning with Detroit RL - their hitters are cold right now, take a look at their recent schedule. And Bud Norris is no slouch. They may have knocked Houston around in a dome in Houston but, now they are at home, in zero degree weather, at night. If anyone remembers last year, the Tigers were terrible until June b/c their whole team is warm weather hitters.

    Don't take the RL tonight.
