NHL Logical Chase 2015

- We chase up to 3 games for a team to win (or lose).  Once a team wins a game (or loses all 3 games), the chase ends. 

- Chase begins with game 1 of a home stand or road trip.

- Factors will be how the team (and their opponents), are performing in their last 10 games, as well as how they are performing at home/away (and injuries, of course). 

- For heavy favorites, I will use -1 on game 1.  If the favorite wins by 1 goal, it's a push and the chase ends. 

- Game 3s are nerve-racking.  In the past I have played just to win half of my game 1 & 2 losses back on game 3 and roll the rest of the losses into the next chase(s).  

System started out 2-0 on Tuesday (NAS home play & CAR road fade), with two game 1 winners, but since it wasn't posted, I won't count it (I pushed on these anyway since I bet them -1 and they both won by one goal). 

DETROIT -118 road PLAY (game 1) - The Red Wings are 8-2 in their last 10 and 12-11 on the road.  They play at Colorado (13-12 at home, 5-5 in L10), at Arizona (9-15 at home, 3-7 in L10), and at Pittsburgh (17-11 at home, 4-6 in L10).  I am betting Detroit will win one of these. 

ST. LOUIS -182 on the BUFFALO FADE (game 1) - The Sabres are 1-9 in their last 10 and 10-15 at home.  They face 3 good road teams coming up.  1st up is St. Louis who is 13-11 on the road and 9-1 in their last 10.  Following the Blues the Dallas Stars come to town.  The Stars are 12-11 on the road and 5-5 in their last 10.  Finally game 3 is NY Islanders.  The Islanders are 15-12 on the road and 6-4 in their last 10.  I'm betting that Buffalo will LOSE one of these 3 games.  This one could get very juicy, so I'm playing -1 tonight.  If the Blues win by 1, it will be a push and the chase will end.  Tread lightly on this one, don't dig a big hole. 

Still considering:

- Florida home play/fade (vs LA, NAS, ANA)

- NY Islanders road fade (at Phi, at Bos, at Buf)

Feedback is extremely welcomed on these.  Just hoping to make us all some money!  Baseball chasing has been good to me and I'm glad to finally get back into NHL chasing!

I selected your same 2 plays (Red Wings play and Sabres fade).. the only other one I added was a fade on the Panthers home stand.

As far as MM goes I am using a modified labby approach.. takes the stress away from C games.

Don't know why I didn't just use the same MLB system and transfer it over to NHL. I am also playing alongside Dan's Post All Star system..

In the end what was the overruling factor for me to fade Jets was their recent form and there seems to be a little locker room unrest with Evander Kane which could lead to sloppy play and below par performance for at least in 1 of the next 3 games.

Would enjoy another A win today..

Nevermind.. onto B it goes.

I noticed tomorrow we have Blackhawks starting a 3+ game home stand.. not sure what I will do with this one.

CHI has returned from a long 7 game road trip.. will be on 2nd of B2B and 3rd in 4 nights. It's only Yotes but the first game back after the above and this could also be a let down spot for CHI after their impressive win over Blues.

Would expect CHI to win 1 of the first 3 home games.. I don't like the ML odds. Might play G1 on CHI with PL-1. Odds are horrible considering all the above, but I am not game enough to fade the Hawks here neither.

That's my ramblings.

Off to a good start so far.. l have made all the same plays so far but through a couple of extra's in too..

I hit on Winnipeg -1 today to help offset the Washington loss.  Played a few others that I'm tracking on my spreadsheet, but aren't official plays for me.
