SN, can you live me a little more detail into your Detroit pick.  Besides home field, and Adam Everett's strong performance historically against Beckett, I couldn't find much advantage at all for the Tigers.  The Boston lineup has only faced Galarraga once, but they hit him pretty hard in that game.  The Detroit lineup has slightly more exposure to Beckett, but Beckett handled them well.
 
Also, if you look at recent trends, Beckett has really come into form over his last few outings, while Galarraga has been getting hit rocked.
 
For the record, my BaseRuns calculations for Bos and Detroit in the first five innings was BOS 3.2, DET 1.8

your calculation for the first 5innings are on target for a 3-2 BOS win..added variables such as 'home' dog value+135 is your advantage for the game..Galarraga got hit hard his last two outings, He's 'up' for the Sox, and I doubt he'll lose 5 in a row..Look for the Tigers to rally behind their ace, who's in a slump, nothing more; Beckett will leave the game in the 6th, enter Tiger bats...This game has over written on it...

Awesome extra insight there.  I need to start evaluating relief pitchers more thoroughly before I can call my calculations complete.

Love some of the dog picks. I have been checking out the Reds quite a bit today. My online book does not have odds nearly this good. I wish I could get Cinci on +120 - on my site it is +105. And the Mets are favorites on my site.

What are your numbers telling you about the Royals game. That one is also intriguing to me, even though I do not like Bannister all that much. Thanks.

what do your numbers tell you about the Giants today with UNIT trying to pick up #300. They blew the game last night and Zimmerman has good stuff. But will UNIT go 2-0 vs. Washington this year for #300??

By the way, we had been talking about dogs. Had DBacks yesterday. Brutal beat with Dodgers plating 5 with two outs in the 8th. A wasted GEM by Haren.
