How do you guys feel about the cardinals tmr to avoid the sweep?

I have a question on four game series.

For recordkeeping purposes, After an A game win, if you choose to play the next game, do you record that as an A game or B game?

Say I lose the game, do I have an A game win and a B game loss or an A game win and a A game loss?

If my memory serves me right, in a 4 game series, game 1 and game 2 both are A games, game 3 is B and game 4 is C.

A 4 game series is NO different than a 3 game series except.... If in a 4 game series we win the A game our next game, game #2, is also then an A game. But, if we lose game #1 of a 4 game series then game #2 is a B game.

B2W, Just wondering how Tex is a RPI play today? Its a 3 game series and they won 1 game already, just asking bro.

So in a four game series:

We win game 1 and we win game 2

• A game record is 2-0

We win game 1 and we lose game 2

• A game record is 1-0
• B game record is 0-1

We lose game 1 and we win game 2

• A game record is 0-1
• B game record is 1-0

We lose game 1 and we lose game 2

• A game record 0-1
• B game record 0-1

Just wanting to make sure I am tracking stats correct on A,B,C,D games win%.

 

Look back a page or two, It's an optional play using the 'Series Continuation' method.  His last post on it did not make it that clear that this game is not an official RPI play for this season.

So in a four game series:

GAME ONE

• WIN = means a Game 2 A Game
  
• LOSS = means a Game 2 B Game
  

GAME TWO

• A WIN = ends the series
  
• A LOSS = means a Game 3 B Game
  
• B WIN = ends the series
  
• B LOSS = means a Game 3 C Game
  

GAME THREE

• C WIN = ends the series
  
• C LOSS = means a Game 4 D Game
  

GAME FOUR

• D WIN = ends the series
  
• D LOSS = ends the series as a loss (never seen it)

Personally, I don't double dip. If the A game wins I'm done with that series. I always try to end the series making money.

I am on the same page as Irage..."A" game winner,,,I win the series and make $$$$$   

Any side plays this day? I took the Phillies and thinking about taking the Cards and Rangers too

This is a little tricky. There is no such thing as a D game and I couldn't fine an easy way to illustrate it.

Basically, if you lose game 1 game 2 becomes the B game, if you win game 1, game 2 becomes another A game continuing the series.

I guess I missed something. We won the A game, how come your playing this game?

What I'm doing also is the CONTINUATION RPI SYSTEM...  These are plays I want documented so I can see how it works exactly (W/L record). It did pretty good for me last couple years but didn't keep stats.  Plus, I didn't play ALL the games involved.  You guys don't have to play this, obviously, but this is more for stat tracking. 

IRAGE, I sent you a pm concerning this. 

Got it. Do you want them tracked here or just in my spreadsheet?

Middle of May and Phila. has not won 3 gms. in a row.             Pirates,  Cubs,  SanDiego,  & Minn.     16.7% of League without 3 in a row.  ( approx.32.5 gms. played per team ). One common stat among this list----- Poor OPS                      You people are doing an incredible job,  thank you .  Patience, necessary ingredient to success .

Track it here so everyone can see. So if the numbers take off people will jump on board. I haven't put this system to the full test but it always won last couple years. Now I just want numbers. Thanks Irage!!

My take of the day is the NYY Team Total OVER 5.5  Millwood been getting shelled and wind blowing towards CF at 8mph. We'll see!
