To fix this you delete the "headings" in the NY Mets line, shift all the stats below it up 1 row, then copy the Washington stats from the website and paste them in the washington row, then reformat.

B2W, when you say I prob wont play it for TOR, you mean don't play all the 4 games or you just want to play 1 serie not the 4 games in case of a win tonight ?
thanks for your advice and your hard work

Since at least two of you experienced this, I belive it happened.  However, when I updated mine this morning (0800 central time) there were no errors.

This must mean that at some point during the day/evening, the code that ESPN uses to create the standings page gets changed somehow.  An extra line here or there can throw everything off.  This could cause us problems all year but we don't have control over it.

I will look into possibly getting the data another way.

To fix this you delete the "headings" in the NY Mets line, shift all the stats below it up 1 row, then copy the Washington stats from the website and paste them in the washington row, then reformat.

Got burned on the Mets yesterday, and I'm going to take my loses on the Giants and just drop the series. I think we have a solid play in the Yankees today, and personally, I'm leaning on the Angels for some reason. I think they're just about to get hot

Guys what happened to all the "Gotta be in it to win it" posts?  Now all you guys are bowing out and giving up on the Giants.  Reach down and make sure you still have a pair and if you do play the Giants C bet.

I think it is a good thing to scrutinize teams before we include them in the system but, I think the statement that the Angels have shown life in their offense is a little misleading. Their bats woke up against one of the worst teams in MLB, the Twins. They are next to last in RPI and they are dead last in Cover's power rankings. I think the Twins make teams look good by being so bad, LOL!! The Blue Jays have taken 2 of 3 from both Seattle (12th in RPI) and Texas (1st in RPI). We have had two series sweeps that most of us bet on Detroit (pre-RPI) and now the Mets. We all seemed to have some worries about the Mets but, I still bet them. Looking back it was easy to see this team is currently garbage and we should have treaded lightly but, hindsight is 20/20. This Toronto team is not garbage and even though the Angels are winners of 3 in a row, it was against a much more inferior opponent. I, personally, will include Toronto in my series chases this week and if they get swept in LA, I will come back with my tail between my legs and apologize to everyone!!

As far as the Giants are concerned, I will also bet them for the C game. the Giants have only gotten swept once this year and it was the first series of the season against AZ. They were all 1 run losses. After that they have a win or 2 in every series. I expect the home team to pull out a win today. You can always bet a smaller amount on the Giants instead of the whole amount needed to win all of your money in the chase...just a thought.

    Good Luck everyone!

Hey guys... I dont post too often in this forum.. spend most of my time on other forums, but have been around a while.

Seems this forum is getting pretty clogged up. Right now, it seems like different people are posting different plays and noone really knows what the official plays are (some mentioning atl should have been a play yesterday? some saying they wont play tor today even though they qualify?) The point of a system is that there is no capping involved. If you are going to play a system then play it. If you wanna cap games, then do that somewhere else.

Also, the original rules of this system stated that the bet amounts should go: A, B, A (for example on a -150 series: A Bet: $150 to win $100, B Bet: $375 to win $250, C Bet: $150 to win $100). What happened to that?? People seem to be bailing all over the place on C bets, when they are only supposed to be for one unit?? Doesnt seem like anyone is managing their money like that, even though that is how the system is drawn out and what has made it profitable in the past??

Not to call out Bettor2win, but since it is his thread, HE should be the one to make the official plays everyday and the one who keeps track of the unit amount and how many units should be bet on each play. Right now this thread is chaos and there is no organization. If people are skipping C bets, skipping series bc certain teams "scare" them, chasing A, B , C all the way through instead of reducing back to the A amount on the C bet, people will be losing money all over the place. Systems like this need structure, esp when threads are this clogged. ONE person needs to be in control and make the final say. Who would have known that Atl was an official play the last few days?? Or werent they? I really have no idea..

But just my thoughts. If this thread is going to be successful, there needs to be one person that posts official plays and the thread should be organized and tracked based on that.

    Anyway, sorry for the rambling.

May I suggest all the official system plays are listed without bias by itself? Just from a information POV even if someone or the majority drops a game B/C, it should still tracked in the system record. Maybe just post a GAME A post when it fits the system and we can track it going forth from there.

I love the discussions on the boards as they yield a lot of great information and its fun to talk sports with others who watch it but if this is a system then it should follow the rules of the system and the games that match the system should all be tracked, else it would just be another Plays thread. Ultimately each of us can decide where to put our money and can pick the games we want to follow on a series by series basis.

Thanks and good luck to all this year!

    FYI. LAST YEAR SWEEPS

    BAL (7). CWS (5). LAA (3)
    BOS (4). CLE. (6). OAK (7)
    NYY (3). DET (2). SEA (12)
    TB (2). KC. (7). TEX (1)
    TOR (4). MIN (11)

    ATL. (3). Chc (5). AZ (3)
    MIA (9). Cin (4). COL (6)
    NYM (4). HOU (11). LAD (4)
    PHI (1). MIL. (5). SD ( 9)
    WAS ( 5). STL (5). SF (5)

The numbers represent how many times that team got swept.
162series swept (min 3 game) last year... To date 25 teams have been swept this year.

Not that it means much...because everything changes year to year....but what we can take away is GOOD teams even get swept....but worse teams get swept more often. I know we don't play for sweeps...I am only trying to help IRAGE AND B2W get their points across

I am PISSED we are starting off in the wrong direction but as things return to normal and teams like HOUSTON AND PITTSBURGH stop winning frequently this system will produce. HONESTLY, does any believe HOU or a PITT team are gonna be leading at the ALL STAR break.

    SF for 3!

Will you guys stop!! The system is the system. They will be tracked. TOR is a system play. Will be tracked but im not playing it. They still may win. All this retoric is blah blah. Thanks.
NYY & TOR are the plays. And yes, we know what each team has done and who they are playing against and what they have done.
SF should not have been a play. Please dont ask why. Read the thread.

See, this is why this thread needs to be structured and organized and if the rules layed out on the first page have been successful in the past, why are they not being followed?

I am not saying this for my own good.. I have never followed this system and have plenty of other successful systems that can be followed. But it is obviously evident that a ton of people follow this thread... There are too many 10s of thousands of dollars (easy) being wagered just off this system... For the sake of everyone here and their hard earned money, things need to be clear and structured. You say that SF shouldnt have been a play-- yet they were listed as an OFFICIAL play! Now after people have lost thousands, they werent supposed to be a play?

I really dont want to come across as ignorant... but people have a ton of money at stake, just look at the views that this thread has. Thousand dollar mistakes based on a feeling or "seeking action" just kills people. Seems like there is a very clear set of rules that have worked in the past... Not really sure why they are not being followed... in terms of both play selection and also money management.
