Just as a matter of trivia.

I have  MLB closing line stats going back to 1988.
I'm just starting to check but I am willing to wager that no team since 1988 or perhaps in history has lost in the following manner:

    1) All 5 games played AT HOME

    2) The home team is favored by -150 to -235 or more IN EVERY GAME

    3) The home team has scored an grand TOTAL of only 6 runs in all five games giving them an average of only 1.2 runs PER GAME

    4) The home team is playing the two WORST TEAMS in the entire MLB roster of both AL and NL

    4) So far the only team that I can find IN HISTORY to boast such a miserable (perhaps rigged or cheating) record is the New York Mets.

They've already lost 5 in a row at home to Colorado and one to Houston so far. If Houston sweeps them over the next two games then an internal investigation should be launched immediately because I know of Pee-Wee league teams that could win some of these games.

Something smells rotten in the Citi Field.

lapi7, if it's somehow connected with gamblimg the FBI/Vegas Will/Should catch it since it leaves a mark of unusual heavy betting one way for a team...ie..the Stros.
You may be right lapi7. Then again, the NYM may be just in their final dog days of summer where they have just given up hope and want the games to end.

You could be right b2w...perhaps they are simply going through a situation which has never yet occurred in the history of MLB.
A discovery of "smart money" properly placed and the jig would certainly be up.

However, we can put men on the moon, land on Mars, we have vice and outright theft of the American people by the people in the highest echelons of our political system... and some people still believe that a sporting event can't be "rigged"?

They won't lose both games today and tomorrow as that would be so overtly obvious that the Feds would swoop down on them like a hoard of hungry buzzards. However if they lose even just today's game I cry "FIX" !!!

I may be overcharging but that's my two cents worth !!!

HOU coaches really suck!!! New ones too! It's obvious that RA is going to throw wp's, so the runner should have a short lead and be ready to go if the ball is in the dirt. ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A GUY ON 3RD!!!. But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! RA throws a dirtball and the guy doesn't go. He should be on 2nd. Then, another wp, run scores and the basdard should be at 3rd with one out. This is the kind of play that puts a HUGE FUCKING "L" ON THEIR FOREHEADS!!!

I think the whole "men on the moon" thing did your theory in today lapi7. Neil Armstrong died today. Armstrong was a devoted ASTRO and they still lost (ya know, 1st man on moon and all).  Or was he a Mets fan?  Either way.....both teams suck sweaty balls from an African Olympic Marathon runner after 27 miles.  Oh, and he didn't shower the previous 3 days either.

For anyone interested, Nats missed the cutoff by 1 RPI point (41 to 42 cutoff) and are having a C game today.  I think they get the win; Zimmerman > Lee and they wanna win the division thus getting swept by a divisional rival would anger them deeply.

I guess that's why the visitor cutoff is 42...

Chased the Nats as well and am on them again tomorrow against the Marlins.  Breaking all the rules but I WILL make it all back.

I'm with you Canis. Vegas took a ton of cash from that series. Time to give them back to restore "faith" in gambling.

That's the way it's been going lately.  Thank God football starts on Thursday.  I'm probably done with baseball after this week.  But who knows, football might turn out to be just as bad, lol.
